"Tommy you're so bloody irresponsible." Newt huffed as we made our way down the path. Sounds of cranks were all around us. It was frightening, to say the least. Ahead of us, a trash can fell over, scaring me half to death. Newt reached out and gently grabbed my hand.

"It'll be alright, we're almost to the group." I smiled at him, and we continued walking, hand in hand.

"Hey Newt which way-"

I was cut off by five cranks crawling out of the shadows. I heard newt gasp as he swung his bat into a cranks head. I pulled my gun out, and began shooting at the cranks. I hit one, then something grabbed me from behind.

Another crank was there. A man, or what was left of one. His hair was pulled out in random chunks and one of his eyes was nothing but a bloody socket.

"My eye!!" He screamed, his voice a mixture of terror and hate. "My eye!!"

I tried to break free of his grasp. I wriggled our but then he grabbed be back and threw me against a wall, hard.

"Tommy!!" I heard a voice say. I could feel blood run down by face. The entire world was a blurry mess. Until a bloody, dirty, tired, beautiful face came into focus.

"Tommy? Thomas! Are you alright??" Newts words worked their way into my brain.

"Newt," I said, pulling him into a hug. "I'm so sorry I got you into this mess."

"I'm sorry too." He said, his voice quiet. "I'm so bloody sorry."

"You have no reason to be." I said, hugging him tighter. "You saved, and that's all that matter."

He was quiet for awhile, thinking. I chuckled. "We should probably keep moving. Minho will get worried about where we are." I said, removing my hand from his back. "They'll think we've been-"I breathed in sharply, looking down at my hand. It was covered in blood.

"Newt!"

Sorry if that sucked. I'm super tired and I want sleeeeeeeep. Thought I would post this before school.
