Seven years after the escape
The sun rose one calm, quiet morning. The light streamed in through the blinds and cascaded across Thomas's face. He opened his eyes, and blinked.
The boy sat, and running his eyes. He opened them once more and looked about his humble abode. A bed, a nightstand, dresser and a mirror were all that were standing in his room.
He looked to his right, and realize that his wife was no longer there next to him. Confused, he sat up and walked out of the bedroom. He opened the door and enter their living quarters.
"Bren?" He called. No answer. Where could she be? He thought.
Loud talking and laughing irrupted from outside. Thomas crosses the living room and opened his door.
The sunlight blinded him as he walked outside. When he was finally able to see, he laughed.
"Happy Birthday Thomas!!" The people shouted. He smiled brightly, and looked around. His best friends in the whole world were there, smiling and laughing.
"Daddy!" Voices shouted. Two small children, a boy and a girl, ran to Thomas. He kneeled, and scooped both children into his arms.
"Happy birthday Daddy." The older girl said, smiling at her father. Thomas kisses them both on the cheek and let them go. He then walked up to his wife, who was looking at him.
"Happy Birthday." She smiled, and kissed him. Thomas smiled.
"How are we today?" He asked.
"Good." She said, rubbing her belly happily. "I actually was able to help put up decorations without needing a break."
"I'm proud of you." Thomas said, kissing her again. He walked over to where his best friend had been standing.
"Hey man." Minho said with a cheeky grin. "This all look alright? We spent all morning working on it. Even Georgia and Newton helped."
"It's perfect." Thomas smiled. He then pulled Minho into a tight hug. Minho cleared his throat uncomfortably. "Thank you Minho." Slowly, Minho hugged back.
"I think- I think he would be proud of us, and everything we've made." They broke the hug. "I sometimes wish he was here to see all of it." Minho's eyes misted over. "Hell, I wish it a lot."
"He'd be proud of you. He loved you." Thomas said, touching his best friend arm.
"He loved you too." Minho said. Another hug.
"Hey shanks! Cut the chit chat and let's cut the cake!" Frypan's boisterous voice cut through the moment.
"Coming!" Minho shouted back. The two boys went back over to the rest of their friends- no - their family. And for the first time in his life, his crazy, upside down life, Thomas felt like he belonged.
Hey!! I'm not even gonna say anything about the long ass break. But I will say this- this is the end of an era. The end of the book I have spent most of my high school life writing. I started this book the summer before my freshman year of high school (for non Americans, this is the first year of high school) And now I have like 5 months before I'm a senior. My last year
I want to thank everyone that has stayed here and read my stories, even though soon are shit. I love each and every one of you.
I'm not sure if I should make another book. If I did, it would probably be multi fandom, as I am currently into like 5 different fandoms
But, alas. All good, or trash things must come to an end. Goodbye.
And as always,
🙉🙈🙊
