It was only days before Carrie was to leave for her tour, and her, Mike, and Charlotte had been spending every waking moment together. When Charlotte was at school, the new couple would go out on dates or hang out at home, enjoying the dating life while they still could. Whenever Charlotte got home from school, the three of them would spend as much time all together as possible.

Carrie and Mike had put on a movie in Carrie's living room after they had gone out to lunch. They started out enjoying the movie, cuddled up against each other, but an hour into it, their cuddle session had turned into something else. With him on top of her, their cuddle session turned into a hot and heavy make out session which had been going on for a good thirty minutes. Both of them were enjoying the exchange. They missed being that close together because it always felt so right. It felt completely wrong when they were with other people after they separated.

Mike retracted his lips from her's and replanted them on her neck, working their way around and down to her collarbones that were exposed by her tank top while rubbing her toned and smooth thigh, the other hand caressing her flat stomach underneath her top. He knew he had found the sweet spot of her neck as she let out a sigh, getting turned on by the moment.

"Mike," Carrie moaned, trying to fight off coming back into her senses.

"Hm," he hummed against her neck, only turning her on more.

His hand crept further up the inside of her top and that was when it finally hit her. She gently grabbed his shoulders and slightly pushed him away from her before speaking up. "Hold on."

His head sprung up for his eyes to meet with her's, and he could tell that a stream of overwhelming thoughts were going through her mind. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing, nothing," she answered shakily. "I-I just need some air."

Mike sat up, giving her room. She stayed on the couch laying down with her legs in his lap and her hands covering her face. She had no idea why she was acting like this or what had gotten into her. One moment she was enjoying that intimate feeling and the next she felt so overwhelmed she could hardly breathe.

"Hey," Mike spoke softly, taking her hands into his and away from hiding her face, revealing that she was working herself into tears. "Talk to me."

"I'm sorry," she replied as the tears started to spill from her eyes.

"For what? There's nothing to be sorry for."

"We were just enjoying each other so much and I just ruined it," she cried.

"Babe, you didn't ruin anything," Mike told her, wiping her tear stained cheeks. "Tell me what's going on."

"I like being with you like that but I'm just not ready to go-"

"Care, I know that," Mike cut her off, knowing she was talking about what their make out session could have led to. "I'm not ready for that either. We've only been together for a week."

"I know, but I'm going on tour and I just thought-"

"Just because I'm not going to see you for a while does not mean that I think we need to speed things up. I don't need sex right now. I just need you."

A smile formed on Carrie's face as she heard the last sentence, setting her at ease and allowing her to be more comfortable to say what else was on her mind. "I won't be ready for a while."

"Me either," he replied.

"I haven't done it with anyone since we were together," she said.

"I can't lie to you," he said looking away ashamed. "I wish I could say the same. And every time I did it, it didn't mean anything. I just did it to do it. I tried to convince myself that I didn't deserve how it was supposed to be. After what I did to you, I don't think I could ever forgive yourself."
