June P.O.V.
School started on a Friday so we have all weekend to do whatever. Unless my parents make me do things.
As I put on my swimsuit, I'm thinking about all of the harsh things that Anden said. He thinks I'd honestly cheat on him. And where did he get the idea that Day was somehow a threat to him? Never mind the fact that I'm in love with Day. Anden doesn't know that Oh gosh that sounds awful.
I throw a cover up over my swimsuit and slip on some Sandals. Day is in one of the guest rooms changing. He always sleeps over and oh... maybe that's Where Anden got the idea I was cheating on him. But anywho Day keeps stuff in that room all the time.
Don't get me wrong Anden and I are still together. I feel bad for leading him on when I'm not interested but eh. He'll get over it. I hope. At least he's never told me he loves me. If he did I would have to tell him. Gosh that's sick. I need to breakup with him. Monday. Right now I just need a stress free weekend. I think as I jump into the pool in my backyard.
"Wouldn't you rather swim in the ocean?" Day asks as my head pops out of the water.
"Eh. This is cleaner." I say. "Plus if we go in the ocean you'll make me surf and I suck at surfing."
"You're not that bad." Day argues.
"I wiped out while practicing balance. I Wasn't even in the water. I can't even balance on the board sitting down."
"Okay, okay. I get it."
"June! We're home!"My parents yell from the kitchen. The kitchen is right next to the screen door leading outside.
"Out here Mrs. Iparis." Day says.
"I've told you multiple times Daniel, you can call me Nadia."
"And I've told you multiple times Mrs. Iparis, that you can call me Day." Day says jokingly. I laugh.
"Let's make a deal, you call both of us by our first names and we'll call you Day."
"Deal." He says. I laugh as I grip the edge of the pool wall and hoist myself onto the edge.
"What's for dinner Mom?"I ask as I wrap my towel around my body and slip my shoes on.
"Well the Wing family will be joining us and we'll be eating steak." My dad says. He's the cook of the family so I honestly don't know why I asked my mom. I mean she isn't bad but she doesn't enjoy it.
"Day, would you like to learn my secret to grilling steaks?"My dad asks. My gosh dad. He's such a dork.
"You bet." Day says. And Day is equally dorky. But I don't know how dorky I'd consider cooking. I mean there's much worse. "Alright. Go put a shirt on. No one wants to see that." My dad says sending a glare my way. I cover my mouth and fail and hiding my laugh. I love my dad. He has this hope that I'll marry Day and so does my mom. It's honestly really creepy.
Day runs up the stairs after laughing.
"How was your first day of school?" My mom asks as I help put the groceries away.
"Good. Anden and I got in a small fight but I think we'll be okay."
"You mean, if you don't break up with him." I look over at my mom skeptical to the fact that she just said that.
"What do you mean?" I ask. Day runs out the screen door to where my dad is opening the steaks.
"Honey, I know that Anden's family is rich and everything but I want you to be happy." She says hugging me.
I pull away kind of shocked. "What makes you think that I'm only dating him because of his money? I don't mean to poke fun at other people but we're loaded. I think I'll end up okay."
