June POV (Years later)
It's been three months since college graduation. I stand looking into the mirror fixing my dress and veil.
Breathe in. Out. Okay. Calm down. If I can just calm down. People always say you get cold feet before a wedding. I don't feel that. I want to marry Day. I'm just nervous. Something might go wrong.
I play around with the dress. The wedding isn't for another four hours. I'm just trying it on one last time. I'm about to go get my hair and makeup done.
Mia, Jennifer, Charlotte, and Faith are my bridesmaids. Faith is my maid of honor. She has become one of my best friends throughout college and we both ended up in the same major so we studied together and such. I'm glad I met her.
You know how sometimes you know a person you don't like and then meet someone else with their name and it makes you judge them a bit? Well that's how it was at first and I'm glad it didn't stay that way.
I take my dress off and put on a sweatshirt and jeans. I put the dress in its protector thing and the veil as well. I hear a knock at the door of my room, or what was my room as a kid.
"Yes?" I call out, finally slipping my wrist through the sleeve of the sweatshirt.
"Can I come in?" My mom asks; from her voice I can tell she's nervous.
"Of course." I say walking toward the door to see her. She comes in wearing her dress; a simple red knee length with a pearl necklace. "You look great Mom."
"Thanks sweetie." She says pulling me into a tight hug. "I can't believe that today is the day my daughter is getting
married. If you ever need anything just ask me."I smile pulling away from her embrace. "I know Mom." I fiddle with the ring on my finger.
"You always did play with your jewelry." My mom scolds. "Leave it be or it'll wear."
"Sorry." I say looking down to my shoes and letting go of my ring.
"Where's the dress?" My mom questions while taking a few steps forward.
"Right here." I point to the rack it is currently hanging on.
"Okay well it's time to go get your makeup done Faith will be here any minute."

Makeup and hair is all done. That took a while. Faith and the rest of my bridesmaids are sitting getting theirs done now.
"I can't believe you are getting married right out of college." Mia says as the woman does her eyeliner. "I mean I guess if anyone was going to it would be you and Day though."
"Thank you." I say taking the magazine out of her hands to emphasize that the thanks will not sincere.
"Give it back." She says reaching for it. The second she does she gets scolded by the makeup lady and sits back.
"Ooh, let's see what we're reading." I say opening to the page I had kept with
my thumb. "Ah. A quiz. What about?" I ponder aloud as I scan the page. "A dating quiz. Mia, are you trying to find
a man?""Shut up June." She says finally able to take the magazine away as the woman is finished with her makeup.
"Okay, okay." I say sitting back down.
"Well, you're all done." The woman says. "Now let's do your hair."
Another group of women come out and start on our hair.

I slip the dress on feet first to avoid smudging my makeup or messing up my hair. I put my shoes on and sit down. I am in the back room of the church I grew up in. That's where I'm getting married.
