June P.O.V.
It's March now. A lot has happened in the past few months but not much of it has been interesting.
Pascao dated like five different girls. No shocker there. It could be because Mia got a boyfriend, Joseph. He seems alright. But Pascao would never admit that he's jealous.
He likes Mia I can tell, but for some reason he just won't admit it. I guess this time it's different than all those other girls he's dated. I'm happy for him.
Day and I ate Chinese food. See, I told you most of this was not interesting. But then again, there's no such thing as an ordinary cat.
"What was Day's fortune again?" I think aloud. I'm in my room right now doing my Physics homework.
Happiness is next to you? Or something like that. For me, it definitely was. I'm hoping it's the same way for him.
"Okay well obviously f=ma but what after that?" Well the acceleration would be gravity and the force would've had something to do with the car. Oh I got it. Wait. I have to factor in wind resistance. Ok now good.
Onto my Econ homework. This stuff is all boring. I mean certain parts of economics are interesting but leave it to my school to make everything boring.
Just yesterday Day and I went to a waterpark. (A/n: so I looked it up and it's 80 degrees year round there. I wish)
Life has been really good since Day and I got together. Honestly, I'm terrified that something awful is going to happen.
Life has been really good since Day and I got together. Honestly, I'm terrified that something awful is going to happen soon to prove me wrong.
Day had some reaction to that lifeguard guy. I remember it like it was yesterday, which it was.
Flashback:
I slide down the slide on the inter-tube. I splash into the water not very gracefully and manage to get stuck in the tube. Leave it to me...
I pull myself out of it shortly after and manage to get on the edge of the pool wall. I sit down and pull the tube off my legs.
A lifeguard stands above me giving me a hand up. He's cute, but not near as much as Day.
"You okay?" He asks.
"Yeah. Thanks." I say. Day splashes into the water at the end of a slide about fifteen feet from us.
"I'm Eric." He says.
"Uh. I'm June." I say. This is awkward. I don't know who this guy is. Why is he talking to me?
"Thanks for your concern." I say, oh gosh, I'm really awkward. At least this guy doesn't know me.
"Yeah. Um. No problem really. You live in Hawaii?"
"Yeah. Just about twenty minutes from here."
"Sweet. I just moved here. Maybe I'll see you around."
"Uh. Okay?"
He nods and walks off. That was really weird. Day laughs walking up behind me.
"What?" I ask.
"That guy." He says. "Was totally interested in you."
"No he wasn't." I say. Day wraps an arm around my waist glancing over in the general direction of where that guy went. This simple action gets my heart beating quicker.
"He asked if you lived in Hawaii. No one randomly would ask that."
"This place is full of tourists. He just moved here." Day smirks at me.
"It's a good thing you're so clueless. Guys used to flirt with you all the time before we were together too."
"They did not." I say. He kisses my head. I smile.
"Do you even know how gorgeous you are?"
"Shut up."
"Never." He says. He stops walking and turns to face me.
"Oh yeah?" I say. I grab his face and connect our lips. My heart is exploding as I pull away from him and walk away. He runs up behind me and takes me by the waist.
"Hey," I say. "We meet again." We walk off to the concession stand.
End of Flashback
Good times. I finish my homework and go to bed. I'm tired. And there's school tomorrow. I probably should've done my homework earlier.
••••••
I walk into the school with Day. We are holding hands. Not gonna lie, I want to be kissing him right now, but I refuse to be a part of one of those couples that forces everyone to watch them make out. Plus that would be really awkward. The waterpark was different since that wasn't making out.
He walks me to Econ since he has a study hall a few doors down from there.
"See you at lunch." He says. I nod squeezing his hand before letting it go.
I sit down in my usual seat by Mia.
"Okay so I have a story." Mia says.
"Spill." I say.
"So I get a call from the school this morning right? And they tell me there's a new kid. Now I'm stuck showing them around."
"That was your whole story? Who's the kid?" She points over to our left.
"His name is Eric." Oh. That's the guy from the waterpark.
He walks up to us. "Hey June." He says. "You remember my name?" I ask.
"Well, yeah, it was just yesterday you know."
"Point taken." The bell rings.
"Class is starting." Mia says. He walks away.
"Okay so who was that?" She asks.
"Eric. Obviously. Day and I went to the Waterpark yesterday. And he was the guy who according to Day was flirting with me." I say.
"Okay. Well Day was right. I saw him. He was eyeing you." I gag.
"Okay then. Teaches me to doubt my boyfriend." Never again.
I walk to the cafeteria alone. Eric walks up beside me.
"Hey June." He says.
"Uh Hi." I say. So Mia told me he was flirting with me after all. Now this guy honestly creeps me out. I mean who flirts with someone they've just met? Pretty much just people in bars or movies.
"I didn't know we'd be coming to the same school."
"Yeah. Me neither." Poor unfortunate soul, hasn't met my boyfriend.
"I guess I'll see you around." He says walking the opposite direction as we enter the cafeteria.
I sit down by Mia and Day.
"I heard that Eric guy is coming here." Day says.
"Yeah. He talked to me. I see what you were saying the other day. He's kinda creepy."
"I agree. He had better not talk to you again."
"Relax. I can handle myself just fine." I say.
He nods and wraps an arm around my waist. "I know you can June. I'm just worried about him."
"Well don't be. I can manage him myself." I say resting my head on his shoulder.
"I just don't trust him."
