Chapter 31

Recap : IshRan moment with cockroach- Sharan's feelings

After a few days

Ishana's POV

My life is leading me to places unknown. I don't know what fate has in store for me in these places but I decided to move with the flow. I have the courage to face anything now. I feel complete with my family. Though I can't claim Sharan as my husband, I know that he will always be there for me as my best friend. I am really happy in every sense.

We have been fighting a lot nowadays but that is because we enjoy it a lot. Nothing has gone beyond limit though.

I prepared lunch along with Janimaa and we set the dining table after that. As it is Sunday today, everyone is here. Veena and Varna are here already so I went to call Sharan and appa. Nowadays Veena and Varna have started helping me in the kitchen. They have always asked me to teach them how to cook and while Sharan didn't like them working in the kitchen, I managed to convince him. They were really happy about that.

It has also become a habit to have lunch together as a family and all of us settled down to eat. Me and Sharan also forced Janimaa to join us and nobody has any complaints about that.

After lunch, we all settled down in the living room to chit-chat. Like Sharan puts it, I started my usual blabbering session. Sharan has been staring at me in silence without even blinking his eyes. I can feel his continuous gaze on me and I blushed which didn't go unnoticed by him. Of course nothing in the world can put a stop on my tongue. I continued with my blabbering until I heard the doorbell ring.

I went to open the door and a man in his late sixties was standing there with a wide smile and I smiled back.

"Shekhar, finally! You are here after twelve years! I can't believe my eyes" I heard appa saying from behind me.

I welcomed Shekhar uncle and he and appa shared a brief hug.

Sharan, Veena and Varna come forward. Sharan took his blessings while Veena and Varna greeted him while I stood there not understanding anything.

"Our children have grown up so much, I didn't expect it. I don't think your daughters recognized me" the man said.

"How can they? They were small when you left and you haven't come back for the last twelve years" appa spoke.

"Yeah" the man replied.

"Angels, this is Shekhar uncle. He shifted to the US twelve years ago" Sharna spoke looking at his sisters. He also gave me a look. I was standing beside angels.
