"Oh my god..." Winn said, immediately embracing Kara but James stood still, looking unable to move.

"James, are you ok?" I asked, moving my hand towards his. He walked off. Kara looked devastated. Winn had glossy eyes, probably about to cry.

"Winn..." Kara started to say, but Winn cut her off.

"Hey, we will figure this out, it will all be okay, right?"

"Uh, yeah. Winn, umm..." Kara was trying to say something. I couldn't tell what it was so I just grabbed her hand and supported her while she gave us whatever information she was trying to tell us. "Arakmuraya is similar to human ca... you know. But, it acts differently. There is quite a lot more pain involved and... it doesn't last as long. If this was human c... it would be easier to handle because it takes time, depending on what type. But with this, it is quick..." she was going to continue but she started crying again and then she suddenly collapsed into J'onn's arms.

"Kara!" Winn yelled.

"No! Not yet!" J'onn's said and his eyes went red like they do when he does his psychic things, then they went back to normal. "She is ok, just unconscious."

"What the hell?" I asked.

"We need to monitor her whenever she sleeps. It is really easy for her to slip into a coma. If she does, the Arakmuraya spreads quicker and she won't wake up." J'onn picked her up, Winn and I followed him to the Medical Bay, the same room Kara was in before.

"Lena?" I spotted a brunette figure running towards us, shock in her eyes and tears streaming down her face.

"She is okay, she just fainted, how did you know she..."

"I will explain later, I need to be with her, let me see her!" She exclaimed. When I asked her why she was so stressed, she simply replied. "I love her."

Kara POV

I awoke hooked up to crazy amounts of technology. I looked to my left and saw my sister talking to Lena.

"Hey... how are we?" Alex said, immediately stopping her conversation with Lena to chat to me.

"I'm not sure. Why do I have to be hooked up to all of this? I doubt it is doing much, I don't feel like it is."

"Hey, Kara, that is kind of the point," Lena stated, I motioned for her to come over to me.

"Have you told her?" I whispered, pointing in Alex's direction.

"Yeah, I hope it is ok, it is the only way she would let me see you."

"I can hear you whispering, I don't know what you are saying but I can hear whispers." The gentleness in Alex's voice surprised me. Usually, she is blunt. Maybe it is because of the state I am in. Thank Rao she will go back to normal once I get better. If I do...

Lena POV

Seeing Kara so powerless made my stomach turn. My suggestion about what to put in her IV paid off, she doesn't look to be in pain. But knowing her, she is hiding the pain in order to make Alex's stress level go down. Her hands trembled when she held them up, that is a huge sign of pain. The way she winced when she moved even the slightest was also an indicator.

"Kara, please tell me the IV is working. On a scale of one to ten?"

"Ten being a lot of pain, one being nothing..." she paused, thinking for about seven seconds, then, "About a 6... maybe a little less"

"Kara..." Alex said. She must have thought that it would be less. I knew from the moment she woke up that it was bad.

"Now that I know you are ok, I need to get to work," I said. I gave Kara a kiss on the forehead and left before I could change my mind. As much as I wanted to stay, I have a company to run. I will try to find someone to fill in for me but for now, duty calls.

As I pulled into the carpark and got out of my car, I looked in the direction of the area we were standing when she told me. My vision became blurry and I felt a tear roll down my cheek.

"Hey, are you ok Miss Luthor?" I turned and my secretary was standing behind me.

"Not really... I need to make a phone call to Catco, could you please ring them and tell them I need to speak with them?"

"Yes, Miss Luthor." He walked away, talking long strides quickly to his desk outside my office. I slowly made my way to the door. I don't actually start work for another seventeen minutes, I had time to stay with Kara, I should have stayed as long as possible. When I arrived at my office, there was an abundance of flowers, each had a card that said a cliche relationship quote and signed by Kara. How did she manage all of this while laying in a hospital bed? Who knows. This is Kara after all. I picked up my phone and made the call I had dreaded since I was given the task.

"Hey, Cat Grant? This is Lena Luthor" I said, trying to sound professional but failing.

"Yes? I am really busy so I would appreciate it if we can make this quick."

"Uhh, long story short, Supergirl is sick. I need you to do your thing and announce it."

"Sick? What do you mean, sick?" She repeated. I didn't know whether I could tell her the truth. but I decided to do so anyway.

"She has um... an alien sort of... cancer."

"Oh, she is going to be okay, right?" I couldn't hold it back anymore. I don't know whether Cat realised I loved Supergirl, or Kara, so much. It must have confused her.

"I don't know. I have no more hope for the situation."

"When the symbol of hope is dying, don't you think it is strange to lose hope?" Cat said. very poetically might I add.

"Yeah, I guess so."

"So, I guess I am not getting my favourite reporter back for a whie either?"

"How do you know?"

"I didn't really, just had suspicions, till you just confirmed it."
