TORN//Derek Luh

Chapter 2

At about 5 the photographer said he was finished with me for the day so I could finally go home. 

Tonight I had a date with this guy named Colby. Colby and I have been talking for about a year now, but I haven't told Nate and Derek yet because I know they will get all protective and shit. 

I text Colby.

N-Hey just got out of the photoshoot. Wanna meet up at the coffee shop?

C-Yes please. Have so much to tell you about. Had a crazy ass day.

N-On my way.

C-Yay can't wait to see you! Meet you there beautiful! 

I jump in my car then begin my 15 minute journey to the coffee house. When I get there Colby is waiting at a table. 

"Hey you." He says hugging me.

"Hey." I say. He hands me a coffee. We sit at the table he was previously at.

"So I wanted to talk to you about something." Colby says. I get nervous. Thoughts begin to run through my mind. 

"Yeah?" 

"I was wondering since we have gone on dates and have been talking for like a year now, if you would be my girlfriend? I really like you." 

"Of course I will Colby. I have been waiting for you to ask me that for awhile now." I say. He kisses me passionately. 

"I'm so happy. I have been to nervous to ask you but I finally grew the balls to do it." He chuckles. I blush. 

"That means you get to meet my 2 best friends Nate and Derek." I smile.

"I'm excited. Derek is my bosses name." 

"Really. What's his last name?" 

"Luh." My heart stops beating for like 2 seconds. 

"Like as in the Derek Luh, owner and CEO of Luh Record Studios? The rapper Derek Luh?" I ask.

"Yeah." 

"Oh my God. Uhm, Colby your boss is my best friend." I say.

"No way. For real. Prove it." He says laughing. 

"Get in your car and follow me." I say. He gets in his car and follows me to my house.

We get out.

"Alright Colby. Prepare to be amazed and maybe afraid. They will give you the talk. I have been friends with them since 5th grade, they will be very protective. Prepare yourself now." I say intertwining our fingers. 

"We got this baby." He says. I nod knowing what's about to come.

I unlock the door to see Derek, Nate, and their friends in the living room talking and getting high. 

Well this won't be terrible then. 

"Hey babygirl. How was the shoot? Who's this?" Derek asks. 

"The shoot was pretty good actually. Derek, Nate, Sammy, JJ, Jack, Taylor. This is my boyfriend Colby Olivella." I say. They all shake hands.

"I know Colby. He's my assistant." Derek says. "Bet you didn't know that did ya?"

"Actually yes Derek I did." I smile. 

"Well here's the deal, You can be with my best friend as long as you take good care of her. I promise if you hurt her, everyone in this room will hurt you. So don't fuck up." Nate says. 

"I can't hurt someone I might love." Colby says. 

"Love? How long have you been together?" 

"Well we have been talking for about a year, but we just started dating." I say.

"Fair. Just use protection kids." Derek says. I laugh. 

"Thanks Dad." I joke.

"Anytime, Kitten." He says. I laugh and pull Colby upstairs to my room.

"What's with those nicknames?"

"When you know someone for a long time like I have those guys, nicknames are eventually developed. Promise, they don't mean anything more than friends." I say. 

"I believe you." He says kissing me.
