For whatever reason, we had to go back to the academy for one last thing. I'm sure they could just put it in a letter or something. But no. Thy have to have a whole orientation.

As I sat at my desk and looked around the room, I notice that basically everyone passed. Most people had their headbands on their foreheads, or around their neck, or tied to their clothing.

Naruto looked the most happy about becoming a ninja. He was enjoying his happiness until Shikamaru walked by and said,"Huh? What are you doing here, Naruto? This isn't for dropouts."

"Oh, yeah, do you see this? Do you see this?" Naruto replied. "Open your eyes, Shikamaru. It's a regulation headband. That means that you and I will be training together!"

Then, Sakura and Ino appeared at the classroom door, both breathing  and sweating heavily. They then went into an argument about who won their stupid race. Something happened to catch Sakura's eye, and that was the one and only Sasuke Uchiha.

Naruto mistakenly thought she was smiling at me, and was shoved by Sakura after waving to her. Meanie.

"Good morning, Sasuke," Sakura says politely. "Mind if I sit next to you?"

Imo intervenes by shoving Sakura with her elbow. "Back off, forehead! I'm sitting next to Sasuke."

And plenty of other girls decided to join in to claim their right of sitting next to Sasuke. I rolled my eyes and looked out of the window again. They're so head over heals over a guy that barely even speaks.

Staring out the window, I notice the little blue bird at the window again. I smile at the bird and admire it from afar. I've been thinking about keeping it as a pet or something. It just seems to always find me. I might as well keep it.

The room suddenly became silent, and I turn soon enough to see Sasuke and Naruto kissing. I don't know what I missed, but I don't care, because I have this special moment right in front of me, right now.

The girls were in shock. Their mouths gaped open and their eyes were filled within fury. Sasuke and Naruto quickly pulled away from each other and started gagging and coughing.

Too much has happened in this exact moment, and I can't help but burst into laughter. I try to cup my hands over my mouth to prevent myself from laughing, but it doesn't work. The fact that those two shared a kiss with each other, and the reaction of Sasuke's fangirls, and the awkward silence in the room became too much for me to handle.

What else was I supposed to do?! Not laugh?!

I was laughing so hard that I was only able to catch a few glimpses of the girls in the class beating the crap out of Naruto. Awe poor guy. He probably didn't mean to steal their man.

My laugher stops when Iruka enters the room and begins speaking. "You are all officially ninja. You've all faced hardships and difficulties, but that's nothing. Now you're only genin- first level ninja. All the genin will be placed into three or four man squads, all consisting of one jounin, an elite ninja, as their leader."

I glance around the room, look at all the possible people I might be grouped with. No matter who they put me on a team with, I know they won't like me. No one has liked me since I came into this classroom.

"We want the squads to have an equal balance of strength and abilities," Iruka continues. "That's how we set them up. I will now announce the squads."

After announcing several teams, he says, "Team seven: Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno, Sasuke Uchiha, and Iris Sano."

Sweet niblets. Basically, all I heard was: annoying, loud mouthed blonde, obsessive pink haired girl, mean, emo kid, and then my name. Why did they do this?
