I brushed off the rustling in the bushes thing, and follow Sasuke back to the campsite. When we got there a few minutes later, we saw Kabuto with Sakura and Naruto, and our earths scroll on the ground. Apparently, Naruto and Sakura were trying to open the scroll, even though we were specifically told not to do so. Tsk, tsk, tsk.
They got a lecture from Sasuke, as suspected, while I stood behind him, mocking his speech and gestures. He was too busy lecturing them he didn't even notice.
"I've seen what happens when someone opens the scroll," Kabuto says after Naruto and Sakura mumble their apologies. "The scrolls are protected by a secret hypnosis jutsu that knocks out anyone who opens it. Like a booby trap. By the time you wake up, the test will be over."
"Kabuto, right?" Says Sasuke. "Why are you wandering out here alone? Since you didn't just take our earth's scroll when you had the chance, it must mean you're looking for a heavens scroll, right?"
"Actually no. I have both." He pulls both a heavens and an earth scroll out of his pocket. "Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be waiting for my teammates at the tower."
"Hold it! I'll fight you for it." Everyone turned to look at him in unison, all of us shocked. This guy can't be serious.
"Stop it right there!" Naruto exclaimed. "You can't just fight him after he saved our butts."
"Yeah," Sakura says.
"I agree," I add on. "You know, without him we would have absolutely no chance of winning with some of us being knocked out. And-"
"Shut up," Sasuke snaps.
My face scrunches up in anger. I step in front of him and point my finger in between his eyes. "You need to stop talking to people like that. And this is a team, and majority of this team says that we should not fight him. So we. Will. Not. Fight him."
Sasuke furrows his brows. He's getting angry, too. "I'm going to fight him and get those scrolls whether or not I get your approval." He pushes my hand out of his face and tries to walk past me.
He stopped in his tracks after I said "Stop!" I immediately clasp my hands around my mouth, as it just hit me that I used that power again. But against my own teammate. After a few seconds of standing like a statue, his body was able to move freely. He stared up at me in horror, while everyone else's face was a mix of confusion and shock.
"Then it's true..." Sasuke mutters under his breath. Just like with Sakura, I put an index finger over my lips, trying to tell him to be quiet about it.
"Uhhh, what the heck just happened? Says Naruto, dumbfounded.
I look over at Sakura, who looks ready to spill. And then to Kabuto, who was almost smirking. As if he know something that he shouldn't.
"Nothing happened," I answer. "Nothing at all."
"If you say so," says Kabuto. He pushed his glasses up his nose bridge while smirking mischievously. "We should start looking for that heavens scroll if you guys want to win."
He turned his back to us and started walking off into the forest. When the sunlight hit the back of his hair, I just knew that it was him that heard my conversation with Sasuke. And what just happened was a confirmation of it to him. He knows, and Sasuke knows. Sakura knows, Naruto might catch on, and soon everyone and their mother is going to know.

While jumping through trees, Sasuke and Sakura kept their distance from me, and Kabuto kept on side eyeing me. Naruto seemed to be the only person who had no clue on who and what I was, which was kind of a relief for me.
