"Mom for the last time stop finding a bride for me!" I yelled at her frustratingly, after a princess from where ever she came from left, my mom just stared ahead sipping her cup of tea that was served earlier when the guest came, she didn't reply, my younger sister, princess Fiona was just sitting on another couch, typing something on her phone but I know her attention was here.
" please mom just stop this, when I'm read- " I was saying, but she cut me off
" and when will that be huh, when I pass away? I'm not getting any younger son, just tell me when?" She yelled at me,but whispered the last part, hearing her talking about death makes my blood boil, I used to think that she had an illness which won't make her live for long, but this 47 years old woman is as healthy as a horse, I wonder why she thought that she could use her age to blackmail me, not working mom.
" i- i mean just look at me, scratch that think of your loyal subjects, we need an heir for our family's legacy to continue, don't you like the idea of having a son?" Mom said, bingo! the cat is out of the bag, the main reason she is hell bent on me getting married was because she wants a grandchild, without saying another word I went outside, my mom is the only one who talks to me that way, everyone else felt intimidated by me after all I am their king, it made me wonder if my bride would also be intimidated.
I could tell that she was frustrated about all of this even I am too, I also want to get married, it's not that finding a bride was difficult, considering all the girls who throws themselves at me but finding the right one was, I want to get married to someone I feel connected with, I know as a king I might sound weird but it's what I want, which reminds me of Ina, she has something to show me, apparently she believes that the right woman for me is in swellville.
I almost choked when she said that, I mean swellville? of all the places that she could be, I didn't want to believe her so she decided to take me there herself which I agreed. Deep down I knew it made sense because this passed few months my dreams were related to that small village, I didn't mind it then but now that she mentioned swellville, it clicked.
But I still didn't like the fact that she could be in swellville, that place is a village, not everyone there is educated, even the youths aren't that educated or have any class, not that it mattered if I wasn't a king but I am, and as a king all my loyal subjects and counsel especially, would expect nothing but the best bride ever, who screams nothing but perfection.

I picked up ina from her place, she sat at the passengers sit beside me,and I was driving one of my favourite car, a black Ferrari, which was tinted. The ride to swellville was a one hour drive, some guards were behind us just in case it gets crowded there, swellville was a very busy place especially their market, which is where we are going.
According to my partner beside me, her "instinct" tells her that what we are looking for is there at the market, great now I'm relying on an instinct, oh the things I'll do to her if all this ride was for nothing. Sometimes I ask myself how I got involved with a fortuneteller, it was something that I don't believe in, i guess we could say that I was desperate at that time and I still am now.
" we are here your highness" Ina said, bringing me out of my thoughts, I looked at the 23 years old to see her smile at me, and yes I know how old she is, she told me everything about her as soon as she entered the car, she said that she hated boring rides,so she talked all the way, my mind was calculating on other things but I didn't miss anything she said.
" so now what?" I asked her, and she closed her eyes, I noticed the bodyguards were behind us as we parked, we are in front of the market now waiting for God knows what, my patience is running out bit by bit, I was about to speak when she opened her eyes, it's today I actually noticed the colour of her eyes they were green, wow! how good I am with people huh!.
" peach and black your highness " she said grinning at me and at that moment I wanted to smack her grin away, i can't believe she brought me here to play colours, she noticed my expression and her smile died down instantly.
" Ina right?" I asked and she nodded," you know I can be very rude, please just tell me that you didn't make me leave my palace and drive all the way here so that you can tell me your favourite colours?" I told her quietly but yelled at the end, making her flinched.
," nnno no your Majesty! I meant the colour we should look for, it will lead us straight to her" she finished, I still don't know what willed me to drive into the market.
So here we are sitting in my car slowly driving through every nook and corner of the market for good thirty minutes, what were we looking for? Peach and black, I can't believe I still trust this woman right now, I guess it's because I want to believe every word she is saying, that my bride is here somewhere.
Just then something caught my eyes, it was a small petite figure, her back was facing us, she was wearing a peach long dress, the dress brought all her curves, I also notices that she had a black veil on, she was covering her face she still did while she hugged a woman, they were smiling about something just then she raised her hands up, the wind blew her veil away giving me a clear view of the most gorgeous woman I have ever seen.
" she's beautiful " I muttered, I bit my lower lip cursing for saying that out loud, I just hope she didn't here me, I don't want her to know that this strange girl already had an effect on me, but too late because she giggled so loudly, letting me know that she heard what I said.
" well I guess my job here is done" ina chanted happily, yeah I guess all credit goes to her, at this moment I rolled down my tinted window, wanting to see her face clearly, and I did but before I could take in any of her features she put the veil back on. Not giving up I kept looking at her when some girl came into view, she had blonde hair and not bad, she looked beautiful but someone else already claimed this heart two minutes ago, I rolled up my window before anyone notices me, it was too late. Fuck!
The crowd continued to multiply every minute, now I can't drive further or I'll crush them all, my body guards got to work but it was still going to take a while, so I did the only thing that came up to my mind, I turned to look at her she was staring at our direction, but I could tell that her mind wasn't here right now it was as if she was lost in her own world.
How do I know? Her veil fell off again and she didn't notice giving me a clear view of her long brown hair, the way it fell on her shoulders got me mesmerized, just then she snapped out of her thoughts and put her veil on again and went to sit down? wow! she didn't care like the other villagers who were still beside my car by the way, I like her already, this is what i call love at first sight, the bodyguards took control of the situation and soon we were back on the road.

" son listen to me, I'll give you two weeks in two weeks time if you don't find a bride, I'll see it as my cue to get you one" mom said in a calm tone, we were on the dining table having dinner, and I knew she meant every word, if it was yesterday I would have retorted back but today, I'm too happy to say a word, just one person was on my mind, which reminded me I don't even know her name, no problem I'll see her tomorrow.
" And I will choose a bride for you at the ball which will be held here in the palace in two weeks time, the engagement will be done and every other necessary things" she said again and I just looked at her and smiled, which made her look at me as if I had grown two heads, she was surprised as to how I was agreeing with her for once, she later replaced it with a smile, I kissed her and my kid sister good night and went to bed. That night all I thought was her, I fell asleep with a smile on my face.
