chapter four

JASON'S POV

I was outside the Williams mansion in the compound ' I can't believe Emily almost ruined my plan, I thought.
Thank God she didn't mentioned us dating or else I don't know what would have happened. I sighed and turned around to see a smiling Emily walking towards me. Then I had my serious face on.
" hey babe what's up"? Emily said wrapping her hands around my neck and pecked me on the cheeks, she kept on kissing my face when I felt irritated and pushed her away.
"Why did you have to spoil my plans tonight?" I whisper yelled at her not wanting to alert anyone.
She looked at me for a second before answering " And what exactly did I do?. I was just keeping what's mine which is you ". She came closer while she said the last part.
"Did you really think that I didn't know that you wanted to propose to her tonight? Huh? And you thought that I would just let it happen? Never! " She yelled the last part.
"Wait a minute don't tell me that you have started to fall for her for real because if you have I swear you won't like me" She said to me yet again, I stared at her blankly, so many emotions was swaying inside me, have i really fallen for her?
" look I was just saying that it could have turned out OK, you didn't have to spoil it". I said to her as calmly as I could. She was starting to get on my nerves now.
" OK then tell me why did you wanted to propose to her?. She asked crossing her hands over her chest.
" All I can tell you is that the plan of marrying her is full proof, I mean it's the only way we can get our hands on her properties. And why did you have to lie to her that she was adopted? " I asked her and then she shrugged like it was something casual.
"I just wanted her to feel the pain of being an orphan, how it feels to grow up and not have anyone care for you. That's why I called the media, now they will be on her neck for a while". Emily said and smirked at the last part.
I ran a hand through my hair and sighed " Do what you have to do and let me do my part OK? " I told her and she frowned
" if you are talking about marrying her forget it unless if it's going to be a fake wedding" she said while crossing her hands on her chest ' how come I don't feel attracted towards her anymore? I felt different not wanting her company anymore just one person I felt like being with right now......... Ariana.
" OK fine, fake wedding it is". With that I went upstairs to Ariana's room to propose to her.

HENRY'S POV

I sighed and followed Ariana upstairs, she must have been heartbroken. I mouthed ' I will talk to her ' to Sandra my wife who was still in shock, she nodded and went to our room.
Knock! knock! " mom please I don't want to talk to you " Ariana said but it came out in a muffled sound since the door was closed.
"It's me ari please open up, we need to talk" I waited for a while before she finally opened the door. " Can I come in?"
" sure " was all she said then she turned around and sat at the edge of her bed, her make up wasn't smudged or anything she just looked...... sad.
I sat down beside her " everything OK dear?" I asked looking at her and then she gave me a small smile which didn't reach her eyes though. That's one thing I love about her always bold on the outside but inside is just a girl who just wanted to be loved. I wish Emily was like her but we can't always have everything.
" Emily lied to you" with that her head jerked towards my direction, her beautiful brown eyes wanting to believe what I just said.
" What?" She asked bewildered. She got up clenching and unclenching her fist in both sides. " how? how dare she say that then in front of everyone? She has crossed the line!" I didn't really know what she must have started thinking of doing so before anything else I stopped her.
" Ari dear listen to me please, whatever she said please don't take it to heart, that's just who she is typical Emily " I tried to convince her.
"But dad you were there, you heard what she said in front of everyone, even the media was here and what hurts is that I even questioned my mom about it, she must hate me right now" she said the last part in a whisper, which means she is about to cry.
I made my way to her but stopped when a familiar voice said
" I don't hate you dear and I will never hate you" we both snapped our heads to see a happy yet crying Sandra at the door
"Mom" Ari said and ran towards Sandra then they embrace each other in a tight hug as if not wanting into let each other go. Ari kept mumbling ' I'm sorry ' to Sandra. I smiled at the scene in front of me right now it was my cue to leave them both alone so I left not before saying a good night to the both of them.

SANDRA'S POV

I'm happy that my baby now knows the truth, she never complained about me getting married again, she accepted both father and daughter in a heartbeat, I knew she only tolerated Emily this far because of me and I'm grateful for that. But now that this happened today it made me want to tell my daughter the entire story and possibly the main reason why Emily hates her.

" come sit my dear, I want to tell you something " I told her and brought her to sit on the bed.
" mom first of all I'm sorry for not trusting you, I mean I can't believe I doubted our relationship, I look a lot like you but still I chose to believe her instead. I'm sorry I don't deserve your lov...
I cut her off , "Don't say that honey I forgive you now stop apologizing, I want to tell you something about Emily" I got up and started " Emily is an orphan " I turned and looked at Ari and she looked like she was in deep thoughts nevertheless I continued " Henry is not her dad, he adopted her when she was seven, Henry's first wife couldn't give birth to a child, so he thought that adopting a child will be good " I sighed and continued " well Henry's wife never accepted Emily which was why she left henry and asked for a divorce, this broke Emily so much. I mean what was her fault in this?"
"Poor girl" I heard Ari muttered I don't think she knew that she said it out loud, that brought a smile on my face, Ari is always understanding.
I continued " Henry practically raised Emily on his own till we met, this is why Emily became a bitter person, that's why she gets annoyed when I give you more attention I guess I failed as her mother" Ari stood up and took my hands in hers.
" no mom she was the one who failed you as a daughter, you always loved her more, do you know why I said that? its because I felt that way, i felt neglected sometimes but it didn't bother me, you are a good mother to not only her but to me too. I love you mom" she said before hugging me and I hugged her back. With that I said good night and left her room.
