chapter forty three

ARIANA'S POV

Two months later..........

Two months has been like two days, my wedding with West is still fresh in my mind like it was yesterday. We have bonded even more, which meant that I haven't yet talk him about Fiona and Bruce. I haven't gotten an opportunity to tell him, OK a lie!, I guess we can say that I'm a little scared and nervous since I have no idea of what his reaction would be. Thank God that Fiona left for a vacation, she has been gone for a month now at least I have some time, I plan to talk to him about it as soon as she returns.

Everything in Nania had been running smoothly, West is really a great king, sometimes I watch him give orders to his counselors, yes he always made me join them in all their meetings. Every now and then West would keep on talking to me about having a baby and all, he told me that he wanted us to have a daughter first before we can have two boys, he was crazy and to think that he is a king who should be looking for an heir.

The project that made us delay our honeymoon had been done now, we were planning on going on our honeymoon, which West has considered as his holiday from being a king, it's not that he didn't like being king, he just wanted to know how it feels to live a simple and normal life again. He told me a lot about his days and how he and his friends did so many stuffs back then. That was when I discovered that my husband was a huge lady's men in both school and college, he was also the captain of his football team.

He also showed me a lot of awards that he earned, he was a success and he also had a great childhood up till now, I felt bad a little because he told me things about his childhood while I on the other hand couldn't. I really wish that I remembered, it would have been a different story. He told me not to worry and that when it's time I will remember.

We couldn't go to the honeymoon anymore because Mom had fallen ill, she collapsed right in front of me. We took her to the hospital and we had discovered that she had a heart disease, she has been fighting it for six years now all alone. West had no idea about it till now, he told me how he always had her checked up. Looks like both her and the family's doctor had kept it a secret from him, he was really upset, and he told us not to tell Fiona about it yet. Mom had been in the hospital for two weeks but now she is back at home and she was being looked after by a nurse. West always made sure that Mom was being taken care of perfectly even when she told us she can take care of herself. He was still angry at her but he tried not to show it in front of her. Well apart from that, everything here was going pretty well.

It was eleven pm and I was getting ready to go to bed, West was already lying on his side of the bed watching TV. I brushed my hair to the back, it was getting more longer by the day, I dropped my hairbrush when a strong nausea hit me, I covered my mouth and ran to the bathroom, I threw up for the fourth time today. I felt someone pulling my hair, it was West and I heard him sigh

" I really think you should see a doctor now" he said, sort of stated. I really don't want to see a doctor, what if he tries to inject me, I'm not a fan of needles and West knows about it pretty well. I would always freak out anytime I saw it, the doctors used it on Mom a lot, so that's how West found out about my fear for needles.

" No, I'm fine. I'm just a little sick, it must be something I ate" I tried to convince him, I took my brush and brushed my teeth again while I look at myself in the mirror, I looked a little pale and like I had also added weight, I saw him starring at me, his face was expressionless.

" You are not well, you'll have to see a doctor and that's final!" he said and then he brought out his phone, in no time he started talking to the doctor on the phone. Later he was done and I just stared at him, I started to feel dizzy

" he'll be hear shortly " he said, now my vision was blurry. I felt myself falling and the last thing I saw was West taking me in his arms before everything went black.

WEST'S POV

It had been a hectic day for me, Mom's condition was improving a lot with the help of the nurse and Ariana of course. She was always with her and that made me very happy knowing that she cared for my mother so much. I also noticed that she was throwing up the whole day, I asked her if she wanted a doc but she said no. There was one thing I learned about her was that she hated the doctors, hospitals and especially needles! I always laughed at her face anytime she saw one. She always brought a smile to my face so that's why I made a promise to myself, that I'll never hurt her or even lose her, I love her so damn much.

" you are not well, you have to see a doctor and that's final!" I scolded, it was the only way she would listen to me and she did. I called another family doctor of ours Ashley, and she said that she would be here shortly.

I was still angry at Dr Francis for hiding such an important thing about my mom away from me. He was my Father's good friend, so that's why I had let the matter go and also Ariana had convinced me to forgive him, which I had but I can't forget it.

" she'll be here shortly " I said to her after hanging up, she was just standing there blinking her eyes, and before I knew it she was going to fall. I caught her just in the time before she landed on the cold floor, I picked her up bridal style and came out of the bathroom.

I placed her gently on the bed, I shook my head at her. She was being so childish and look at what happened now. 20 minutes later, Dr Ashley arrived and she started to examine her. Dr Ashley was a few years older than me, she's happily married and had two kids. She also wasn't able to attend the wedding, she had a business meeting abroad.

Later, the room was filled with some of the servants, Monica was sitting beside an unconscious Ari, Mrs Lina was also here, she was watching Dr Ashley every move on Ari, she once told me that she always wanted be a doctor. So right now I guess she's just savouring the moment. Mom came a while ago but I later told her to go to bed, she needs to rest. She did as I said with no arguments cause she knew that I was still upset at her actions.

" So tell me doc, what's wrong with her?" Mrs Lina asked the doctor, I was about to ask her the same thing, it made me wondered why I had even bother to call them here. She was done with the check ups and all, she had a grin on her face. Everyone's eyes were fixed on her, she walked up to me still grinning

" Tell me Doctor, how is she? What's wrong with her? Did something bad happened to her?" I asked getting impatient, I really hope that she's alright, I can't bear to see her in pain or in any discomfort

" nothing is wrong with her my king, on the contrary something good happened " she said and her grin widen, OK will she just tell me what's going on already? And as if on cue she spoke again

" CONGRATULATIONS! YOUR WIFE IS FIVE WEEKS PREGNANT, YOU ARE GOING TO BE A FATHER!"
