chapter thirty four

Ever since I woke up this morning, I've been worried about grandma's health. Not that I totally forgot about her, I just thought that I should give it time before I figure out a way to get my own part of the money. I want to see her and know how she is, but I just don't know whether that's a good idea, or if i will be allowed  to go there. I don't think the king knows much about my foster family's hate towards me or so I thought.

" what are you thinking about? " came Fiona's voice while wrapping her arms around me from behind, she told me not to call her princess anymore, I was seated on the edge my bed. The King traveled for a business meeting this morning, I didn't say good bye to him. I mean who leaves for a business meeting, when in just two days he will be married?

" don't tell me you are missing him already? It has not even been three hours that he left" she said, this time she sat beside me, I took her hand in mine

" no its not that I'm missing him- well I am missing him, sort of- " I said and she gave me an amused look, she later nodded for me to go on and i can't believe I'm telling her

" well I just want to visit my foster family in swellville, so I don't know if I would be allowed to go" I said the last part looking at her, and she gave me a small laugh.

" oh come on, of course you'll be allowed " she said getting up, " tell you what? get ready and we'll go together, just you and me " she said smiling at me, I have the most sweetest future sister in law ever. I stood up and hugged her

" thanks! I'll be ready in a jiffy " I said and went in to the closet to change, not before she shook her head at my childish behavior.

" I will also go and get ready " I heard her said through the door, with that I heard the door closed, which meant that she was gone.

" where do you think you're going? " the Queen asked with her hands on her waist, I heard Fiona chuckled at her mom. She looked really tired, I guess it's because of all the wedding preparations. And I know that she will do a great job! I can't wait to see all the arrangements she has made.

" oh don't worry mom, we are only going out for a while, we will be back soon" Fiona said, I looked at her wondering if she wasn't going to let the Queen know exactly where we wee going.

" I wasn't talking to you, you can go where ever you want for all I care, I'm talking to my will- be daughter in law, plus the future Queen " she said excitedly, Fiona rolled her eyes at her

" don't you roll your eyes at me young woman! And you, go back inside, you are not allowed to step out of this palace until you are married to my son" she said so casually, I just stared at her. Now how am I going to see grandma? And I'm sure that king told her not to let me out of the house, wait till he gets back!

" well don't just stare at me, go back to your room and have a beauty sleep, in no time the day you are getting married will arrive" she said so happily, I can tell that she is more excited about the wedding than anyone else

" please let us go out for a while, I promise we won't take to long" I said looking at her pleadingly, giving her my best puppy dog eyes, not even the king can say no to it.

" aww! So cute! Who can say no to these eyes? " the Queen said, wow! That wasn't too hard, " OK be back before six, and take some bodyguards with you " she said and with that she turned to leave, both Fiona and I squealed, this made the Queen turn to us again

" and don't do anything stupid " she said pointing her index finger at us, we both nodded at her

" don't worry mom, we will be back before you know it" Fiona said, the Queen nodded and left. We also made our way out, we took some bodyguards and we told the diver where to take us, he looked hesitant for a while but he started the engine and soon we were on our way, with the bodyguards not far behind us.
