" I just want to tell you that soon you and I will be in-laws, so I think it's better if we start to get along" lady kaila said confidently, well if she is this confident in becoming the kings bride then, it only means that it will happen.

" Don't be too confident kaila, you never know what might happen at the last minute, my brother may decide to choose someone else" the princess said crossing her hand over her chest.
Lady Kaila's face suddenly fell into a frown and the princess smirked.

" I know you don't like me princess, but the sooner you start to accept me the better it will be for the both of us, and yes only I have ever had a serious relationship with your brother, he can only be happy with me and no one else" she finished, saying the last part glaring at me, the princess got angry and left. I thought she would want some time alone, so I didn't follow her.

" Ariana right?" Lady kaila asked while tilting her head to one side, and then she move closer.

" listen good and listen clearly, I don't know about the stunt you pulled yesterday, and especially the part where the king ran towards you just in time before you fell, I didn't like that one bit" she spat at me angrily, I just stared at the ground the last thing I want is to piss her off, before she make me lose my job.

" Be quiet! the king and I have always been best of friends and we also dated some time back" she said, the way she said it hurt me more than I could imagine. At that point I dared to look at her and she was smirking at me.

" I know you like the king just like every other maidens do, sorry to break it to you but he's mine and I don't ever want to see you close to him again " she said pointing her index finger at me, she looked so venomous, the look she gave me reminded me of someone but I don't know who.

" and if I ever see you close to him then believe me when I say that you will lose your job " she threatened, leaving me there shocked. All I just wanted was to raise some money for grandma's treatment, why is it that most people just don't like me? Now that she had started to threaten me I'll have to stay away from the king as far away as possible.

I was about to object his offer but before I could speak someone cleared his throat, making us aware of his presence. I recognize that voice anywhere, I noticed Andrew's body tensed in front of me, I slowly looked back and see the last person I wanted to see.

There he was standing there in his expensive black suit, his hands in his pocket and at that moment I dared to look at him and his eyes were dark, today is a really bad day for me. So many things had happened ever since I woke up this morning. First it was Cassy, then lady kaila, and now the king, could this day get any worse? As if on cue he came forward, his tall and muscular body intimidating mine and Andrew's.
