Kenzie's P•O•V
I groaned and rubbed my tired eyes as I woke up. The cold air from the air conditioner hit my bare back sending chills down my spine. I could hear the shower running in the bathroom. A loose handcuff hung from my right hand. I wrapped the blanket around myself and tipped toed out of the bedroom.

I ran around the room gathering my things. As I slipped my pants on my phone dropped out of the pocket. "You're awake! My drivers waiting downstairs he'll drive you home!" The man shouted. "Thank you," I shouted back as I grabbed my phone. It's completely dead. I quickly dashed out of the bedroom.

I have to be ready for tonight's event.

I got home and rushed upstairs to my bedroom. I plugged my phone in and grabbed a towel. I need a good shower. I went into the bathroom and quickly stripped out of my clothes. I walked over to my shower and set it to hot. I felt the water with my hand before stepping into the shower.

"REMEMBER WHEN YOU WERE YOUNGER YOU WERE MINE!" I shouted along the song in my head as I sang. "Kenzie! Where the hell have you been?! I've been calling your phone all morning!" Lacie shouted. I jumped and dropped my bar of soap. I peeked my head through the curtains and saw her standing in her party dress, she has her arms crossed with an angry look on her face.

"I'm sorry. It took me a while to get home. Traffic," I explained. I squatted down and grabbed my soap. "I was sick and worried about you," she scolded. Lacie and I went out partying last night, I guess I had one too many drinks.

"I'm sorry. Jeez," I exclaimed. I quickly finished with my shower and reached my hand out for my towel. I wrapped my towel around myself and stepped out of the shower. Lacie is my best friend there's nothing she hasn't seen.

"So who was he?" She asked. Her face calmed down into a softer tense look. "I have no idea. All I know is that he was kind and rich. He had a driver drive me home," I explained. She gasped as she nodded her head. "How was your night?" I asked. "Lovely. I actually know who I slept with last night," she mocked. I rolled my eyes jokingly as I walked into my bedroom.

"I get it. I'm a mess," I laughed. "A big one," she added as she laughed with me. "Are you coming to the party tonight?" I asked. "No. But I'll go with you to get your nails done," she said. "Why not? I can't bare those boring events without you there," I groaned. "I have a date. Like I said I know who I slept with," she smirked. I threw my pillow at her.

I wish it were that easy for me to get out of it.

I grabbed a glass from the trey from the waiter as he walked by. I gulped down the drink quickly. These drinks are the only way I can think of to willingly stay at these events. My father's a businessman he holds these events once every year. Every time I'm forced to come to make a family appearance.

It's full of old men and other stuck up rich people. "Kenzie, enough of the damn drinks. You're going to get drunk and embarrass this family like last year," my mother scolded me as she grabbed the glass. I groaned and shook my head annoyed by her actions. "I'm 25 years old Mother. I can drink where ever I please, however much I please and when I please," I snapped.

"Stop it! You're still my child. Your father has a an important guest coming. I know you like your lavish lifestyle so try to keep your best behavior," she said. I was going to argue but stopped when I heard my father's laughter. He walked towards us leading a man.

The man instantly grabbed my attention. He's not old like the rest of these men, he only seems a few years older than me. "Kenzie, Angela, this is Theo Collins," he smiled as he introduced him to my mother and I.

Theo is tall with brownish eyes and dark brown hair almost black, he has one dimple when he smiles on the left side of his cheek. He's breathtaking. I put my hand out and allowed him to shake it. "It's nice to meet you," he said. His voice pushed out confidence and power. I remember it. He's the man from last night. It caused the hair on the back of my neck to stand up. I managed to pull myself together and forced the same look of confidence.
