Kenzie's P•O•V
I whimpered in pain as Lacie put the ice pack on my ass. After the flogging Theo used the cream but it kept stinging. I found it hard to sit so I had to called in sick from work today. I sighed as the feeling of the ice slowly began to calm it.

"Man you guys have the softest couch. How do you not just sleep here?" She asked as I laid down. I chuckled and shrugged my shoulders. A loud knock on the door came pulling my attention away from our conversation. "Who is it!" I shouted.

"It's your mother!" The familiar voice shouted back. Lacie stood with a confused expression and walked towards and looked into the peephole. She opened the door and stepped to the side allowing her in.

I forced myself to get off the couch. I stood with a blank expression as I waited for what she had to say. "Kenzie, you look well," she smiled awkwardly. I frowned and crossed my arms over my chest; "I thought you hated me. It's been two months since I heard from you." She sighed and rested her bag down on a sofa.

"I needed time to heal and wrap my mind around things," she stated. "And? You treated me like an outsider for years. Why now? What made you decide to go seek help?" I asked. For years I tried to make her love me because I thought I couldn't live without her. I held onto the memories of her during my childhood. After these two months I've learned that I don't need her. I'm fine without her.

"I went to Paris for a month with Evelyn. She helped me work out my inner issues. My problem is that I needed to find me and forgive myself," she said. Tears began to run down her cheeks. Evelyn is my mothers Best friend who also happens to be a therapist. She should've started seeing her as a doctor years ago if you ask me.

"I didn't blame myself and I should have. I left two children alone what could I have expected?" She asked rhetorically. She walked towards me and gently took my hands in hers. She squeezed my hands tightly. "It's not your fault. What happened to your sister is not anyone's fault," she whispered. She let go of one of my hands so that she could wipe her tears.

"That's not what you need to hear though. I'm sorry. I so damn sorry for the way I've treated you and I know that I don't deserve you in my life. And....and I'll understand if you want me to go," She hiccuped. I bit down on my lip as I thought of what to say. What can I say? What is there for me to say? I can't forgive her on the spot. I need time.

I pulled my hands away from her and stepped back. "I need time. Wether you want to hear it or not...you have to know your actions caused me a lot of pain," I sighed. I cleared my throat and put my head down. "I understand," she whispered. "I'll go," she said as she walked towards her bag.

"Goodbye Lasandra," she said as she hugged Lacie. Lacie gave her an awkward smile before she walked out. I let out a breath of air before locking the door.

Even though she's gone the room is still so tense. "God," I groaned in aggravation. The door opens and Theo steps into the house. He greeted Lacie with a short hug before walking towards me. I'm happy to see that they're getting along. It would tear me apart to know that they don't get along.

He kissed me on the lips shortly along with a hug. He stepped away from me and glanced at Lacie suspiciously. "Ohh! I forgot to tell you. You have to come back with me to my house, I need your help with something," she blurted out.

I squinted my eyes at them. "Okay, I'll play along," I said. I walked towards Lacie and grabbed my jacket off of the couch. "I'll be back soon," I smiled at Theo. I closed the door behind us as we left.

"What do you need my help with?" I asked as I sat in the car. "I'm turning the extra room into an art studio," she explained. I smiled. "I'll be happy to help you set up your art studio," I said. I know Lacie misses me this most be her idea to spend time with me. We're like sisters. "I promise you that I'll visit more," I said. She pulled her eyes off the road for a moment and looked at me. She smiled and turned back towards the roads.

I got to Lacie's house to see about twenty boxes piled up in the living room. And five long large boxes. "That's my desk and shelves. And the smaller boxes are my art supplies," she explained. I looked at the clock on the wall to see it's 10am. I cracked my fingers and took a deep breath. "Let's do this," I said.

                              5 hours later
I flopped down onto the sofa from exhaustion. We finally finished the room after five hours of working on it. "Its so pretty," she smiled as she looked around the room.

I looked up to see Lacie on her phone texting someone. She shoved her phone into her pocket and walked towards me. "Come on buddy. I have a surprise," she smiled as she reached her hand out to me. I grabbed her hand allowing her to pull me up.

"Does it require more heavy lifting and assembly?" I asked as I sluggishly followed her. She chuckled lightly and shook her head. I sighed in sweet relief as I walked with her outside. I buckled up as Lacie started her car. "Okay. So we're going back to Theo's house and before we go inside you have to put on a blindfold," she said. I hummed to myself and nodded my head.

The drive was quick and quiet. She stopped he car in the driveway and quickly jumped out. I got out of the car and stood in front of her. Before she put the blindfold on I looked over the area surrounding the house. Nothing looks like it's changed. She slipped the blindfold over my head and tied it tightly.

"Does it hurt?" She asked. I shook my head. It's a light pressure but it's nothing that I can't handle. She took my hand lead me towards the front door. "Watch your step," she whispered. I lifted my foot and walked into the house. We walked a little longer before we came to a stop.

"I'll take it front here," Theo whispered. He took my right hand and lead me away. I bit my lip as I tried to suppress the smile from my face. He let go of my hand and stepped behind me. Theo removed my blindfold. I blinked a few times to get my eyes to adjust.  It's a mini library.

The room is repose grey color. Against the wall by the window is classic chesterfield linen sofa in white, I put it there so when it's day time it's a nice natural light. White ceiling high bookshelves going all around the walls from the left to the right, stopping at the front door.

There's a fur rug on the ground in front of the sofa. Onto of the rug is a all glass coffee table to keep the spacious feeling. "YAY!" I shouted like a child. I rushed towards a bookshelf on the right to see it's full of Manga. I love it. I turned around and hugged him tightly; "Thank you so much," I whispered.

"I know how stressful work is for you. So I made this place for you to take the load off and relax. Lasandra helped me find some of the books," he smiled. I pulled away and smiled at her. "Is this why you had me do an art studio for five hours?" I asked. She smiled and nodded her head.

"I needed something to take up time. What better than redecorating a room," she shrugged. "Thank you guys. This means a lot to me," I said as tears welled in my eyes. "Lasandra can we have minute?" He asked. She nodded in understanding. "I'm gonna see you later anyway. I've gotta go," she smiled. I nodded as she walked out.

He took both my hands in his and gently squeezed them. "This is my gift to you. I didn't only do this because of the stressful feeling you have at work. I did this because I think I'm falling in love with you. And I want to show you that you mean more to me than sex. I want you to be comfortable here and look at this place as your home too," he whispered.

My eyes burned as the tears ran down my cheeks. I let go of his hands and pulled his face towards me kissing him. I pulled away after a moment and gently pressed my head against his. "I think I'm in love with you too," I whispered.

HEY GUYS! IM SO SORRY IT TOOK ME THIS LONG TO UPDATE. I PROMISE THAT ILL WORK ON UPDATING SOONER.
