"So you really haven't seen her in all these years?" Alex said walking into the building.
"You never looked her up? Not even in Cerebro?"
Charles just laughed.
"Alex! What do you take me for, some kind of pervert?
Yes, I looked her up once, twice. But not in a long time, alright?"
"How did you leave things? Any hard feelings?"
"Oh, plenty- I mean, God stop asking questions." Charles said flustered and Alex laughed more.
"I didn't end too well, she left me and I had to wipe her memory, to be safe. She knew too much and it would've tore her apart. Something interfered and I couldn't erase everything."

You heard a knock on your door, then 2 people barged in, Charles Xavier and a young man that you knew as Havok.

That stupid son of a bitch tried to erase your mind but thankfully like everything else, he did a pretty shitty job and your memory returned with the help of another telepath.
You even learnt some techniques of how to block your mind. Now was time to put them into action
Time to play stupid with an advantage.
"Y/n, L/n. Hello, allow me to introduce myself."
"Professor Charles Xavier, am I correct."
'Shit' he cursed under his breath.
"Your the professor I met at at oxford, I didn't see you after that I was hoping to work with you but you left in such a hurry." You smiled lying and you felt him searching to check if you were telling the truth.
Using your techniques, he had no reason to think otherwise.
"It's great to meet you again, your in a wheelchair now I see, sorry must've been a terrible accident."
'And as ignorant as ever.' He mumbled and shook your hand.
"Y/n L/n." You shook hands with Alex and sat back down on your desk.
"It's wonderful to see you again..you've got a son!"
"Yes, I do." You said calmly, this is where it was going to get complicated.
"Does he have a husband- uh you, do you have a husband?" Charles fumbled for word and you smiled.
"Uh, no actually. I actually don't know or remember who, it or when, anything happened around my pregnancy." You stared at him and he looked to the picture then to Alex who's eyes were wide.
"I don't think this is appropriate conversation, I don't know you, you don't know me, we have absolutely no connection to each other, so I don't understand why your here.
God I need a drink."
You opened you're office draw and pulled out a bottle of (f/a)
Charles stared at the liquor.
Every time you had a special occasion he would buy it for you, you never liked it. Until he showed you how to prepare it and from then on you loved it.
He watched it pour and you brought it to your lips, sipping the cool liquid.
"You remember everything."
"I'm sorry, I don't know what you mean."
"You remember everything, everything I erased, you remember..
And your blocking me from your mind."
You smirked and looked over to Alex
"Does he always take this long to figure things out. Nice to see you again havoc, you've grown up quite a bit." You laughed and Charles sat their staring at you.
"If you knew why didn't you come see me?"
"I figured since you tried to erase my memory, especially of you, you didn't want me in your life."
"I wanted you."
"You should've tried to show it better."
"Should I go? I feel like I'm interfering." Alex said awkwardly and you both nodded.
"Help yourself to the kitchen." You called out and finished off your drink
"Y/n?" Charles broke the silence
"I know what your gonna ask."
"Who's the telepath now?" He laughed and you smiled taking a seat
"Is that, my son." He asked gesturing towards the picture.
"You know the answer to that, you don't have to ask."
"If you knew that he was mine why didn't you come back."
"Because Charles, what I said before was true, I didn't remember anything around my pregnancy. I was disoriented and lost I didn't have anywhere or anything. You did that to me and I was living on the streets trying to figure out what was going on. You didn't do a very good job, I had glimpses and full on memories. The kind that I didn't want to keep."
Charles just sat there.
"The memory of you getting shot.
At the CIA all those people falling from the sky and landing breaking their bones.
The memory of Cuba,
You kissing Moira Mctaggart. All those erotic memories of us.
I didnt want any of that, but they were the memories I had!
I didn't even know I was a mutant Charles!" You yelled.
"I'm sorry."
"I'm sorry doesn't cut it!"
"Mom?" You stopped and looked to the door.
"Yes, um Charlie come in." You said and your son walked in and looked weirdly at Charles.
"Honey this is an old friend-"
"He's my father."
"You can never keep things from a telepath." You mumble and your son doesn't move.
"Charles Xavier." Charles puts his hand out for charlie to shake but he doesn't budge.
"Charlie be polite." You said as Charles coughed.
You looked up and he was clutching his head.
"Charlie!"
Charles started screaming and Alex bursted in, he was immediately on the ground screaming in agony.
"Charlie stop It! Actually wait hang on for just a little longer."
You waited a couple seconds then stop in front of charlie.
"Come on stop this now."
"Why wasn't he here for you mom? Why isn't he here for you now since he knows!" Your son yelled and you caressed his face.
"Sometimes things don't work out like that sweetie. Look, Alex hasn't done anything so could you let him go and I'll have a talk with your.. father."
Your son nodded and they stopped their screaming and he left pulling Alex out of the room.
"He's powerful."
"I know, you should've been there during the birth, he had his powers then."
"What, really?"
"I guess that's what you get when you put two of the most powerful mutants together."
You walked over and brushed some hair out of his face.
"I originally came here for help but, now I want something else and I can't hide that from you..
You named him, Charles?"
"Charlie Zachary L/n. Actually." You corrected him smiling.
"Will you let me explain why?"
"Nope."
Charles took a deep breath looking at you in the eyes.
"It's no use trying to read my mind. I know why your here, so does my son- our son."
"Our son.." Charles words were all caught up in his head, never reaching his mouth.
"He doesn't like me." Charles sighed trying to smile but it wasn't working.
"What he knows, he doesn't like."  You corrected him again, he gave you a look and you stopped.
"I'll explain it better, when you tried to erase my mind, the thing that got in the way was him. Charlie. He was so powerful, he was protecting my mind."
"Y/n, I'm so, sorry-"
You stopped him, putting you hand over his mouth.
"It's not me you need to be apologising too, I'd take you back, love you forever.
But it's charlie who grew up without a father and what he knew was that, his father tried to erase my mind and I was out of the streets with nowhere to go, his father technically abandoned him, and now his father has come back after all these years asking for help."
"How can a child ever except me." Charles had tears forming in his eyes, something you hadn't seen in a longtime.
"Maybe you and charlie could talk one on one, telepath to telepath." You  crouched down and held his hand.
Charlie obviously heard and came in, leading you out the door and shutting it.

"That's one hell of a kid." Alex laughed.
"I know, he's so much like Charles." Alex handed you a cup of coffee exactly how you liked it.
"Aw, you remember. I missed you so much and all the others."
"Well we missed you! I know I still do." He winked at you and you nudged him on the shoulder.
"Gotta love you, Alex. What do you thinks happening in there?"
"Some kind of psychic battle." Alex made ninja hand gestures and you laughed.
Just as you laughed your son and Charles walked out.
You were scared to ask how it went but they both knew your question. Charlie came up and hugged you around the waist.
"I love you, mom." The room was silent for a while then he piped up again.
"And I want my last name changed to Xavier."
"Honey that would mean-"
"Will you marry me?" Charles asked interrupting you .
"Were both of you conspiring together for this?"
They looked to each other and laughed.
"Are you being serious?" You asked Charles.
"I'm sorry if it didn't seem so since I can't get down on one knee but, yes I'm very serious."
Alex clapped before anyone said anything.
"Why are you clapping?" You asked.
"Because you've already said yes."
He laughed.
"Since when are you the telepath, now?"
"You don't need to be to know this outcome."
He laughed and you took Charles hand and he pulled you into his wheelchair and kissed you like you always remembered.

A/n: Request from one of my friends at Uni, I wrote it out one night because we were pondering ideas for  our anthology.
