Warnings: coarse language

"Erik your such a pain in my-"
"May I get the gentlemen a drink?"
You looked sincerely at the quarrelling couple.
"Yes, I think that'd be quite lovely." "You argue like a married couple.. are you here on a honeymoon?" You smirked cleaning a glass.
"What!" They both exclaimed.
"I told you, Erik people would think that nonsense if we stayed here."
"And I told you, Charles that what we're looking for is here so shut your English trap."
"You better not continue to reveal your names, people round here can come up with a lot of scandalous stories." You giggled.
Charles leaned on the counter and pressed his fingers to his temple lightly while staring at you.
"Are you alright? Only I have the right to stare at my face for that long."
Erik laughed and you turned your attention to him.
"What's so funny? Do you wanna know that the dress code around here for homosexual men is turtle neck shirts and tight pants, or should I just keep that to myself." You crossed your arms tapping your foot while the other man laughed.
"And you, sweaters aren't the ideal sort of fashion here. Unless your a crippled old man."
Charles looked down to his dark blue sweater and an old man piped up coughing.
"Sorry Hamish I didn't mean to offend you." You called out and stepped out from behind the counter.
"Do you both want a room or where you just looking for a drink."
"We have rooms booked in the name Xavier." Charles said.
"Oh, of course. I'll take you to your room."
You continued up the oak stairs and gestured for them to follow.

"My ancestors built this place over 400 years ago.
My great great grandfather fought in the forty five."
Charles and Erik looked confused
"The last rebelión, the Jacobites vs the British." You elaborated.
Charles nodded and Erik still looked confused.
"This place refused to burn, the English tried but, alas they failed.
They say this castle is enchanted. Some say my ancestor put a spell on it. Some say the spirits hold up its walls.
Are you sure you want to be stayin here." You smirked dangling the keys in your hand.
"You live here don't you?" Erik asked.
"Why yes but I am well averse in it's magic, you are not."
"Magic pfft." Erik rolled his eyes.
"I wouldn't dismiss the warnings I give to you, you never know what could happen, especially in a place you don't know."
Charles was intrigued.
"It was the women who blessed this place they say it was a witch." you laughed and Erik and Charles looked to eachother concerned.
"Here's your room." You smiled but Charles held your eye.
And for a second it seemed like time stopped.
You brushed it off and walked away.

Charles and Erik settled down in their room.
"So, there are 3 mutants in the area. I guess-"
"I know who one is." Charles blurred out.
Erik looked at him questioningly.
"It's that woman." Charles bit his lip.
"Why didn't you ask her then Charles!" Erik growled.
"I didn't get the chance she kept distracting me."
"We may as well of sent the CIA agents out to find more of our kind, they'd be more helpful than you right now." He got up and poured a glass of whiskey.
"I couldn't help it, she has this fire-"
"You mean a temper, God Charles are you charmed by her?"
Charles stayed silent.
"You are!" Erik struggled to hold back a smile.
"I never said that."
"Don't deny it."
"Im not!" He continued to deny.
"So your not denying that you like her." Erik bursted out laughing.
"Of course I don't."
"You said you do."
"No i didn't!" Charles had enough and locked himself in the bathroom.
"what mutation did she have?" Erik inquired.
Charles opened the door and continued to talk.
"Quite extraordinary actually-"
"The ability to undermine men." Erik laughed again, pulling a chair up by the fire place.
"She has the power to control liquid in all forms, water, blood, alcohol-"
"Oh so is that why she's a bartender." Erik interrupted.
"This isn't a joke Erik."
"Right right, sorry Charles, it's just ironic."
Charles started to boil with rage.
"Ironic my ass, you are one of the rudest men I know."
"Stop being such a woman about it." Erik snorted skulking his drink.
Charles grabbed his coat and trudged down the stairs.

"Husband not doing you such fine company?" You saw Charles trudging down the last of the stairs.
"For the last time he's not my husband, I'm completely heterosexual."
"Oh I know, I just like teasing." You smirked.
"I know, I'm starting to grasp that." He sighed.
"So what can I do you for? You asked drying the glasses.
"Tell me some more about your history."
"My history?"
This man was different, it's like he knew something about you that know one else knew.
It was kinda unnerving
He smiled as a reply.
"Well I told you pretty much everything." You said shortly and stacked the rest of the glasses
"I better get to bed."
"You don't trust me." Charles says sitting by the fire.
"I'm sorry we just don't know that much about each other."
"I know that you can control liquid." You stopped at Charles' words
"I don't know what you mean." You tried to sound calm but the look of distress covered your face.
'Your a mutant, so am I.'
"How did you do that" you asked and Instead of stepping back you stepped forward.
"I'm a telepath. Mutant, if you will."
"So you know about me? And what I can do.."
Charles nodded.
"Don't you think that's a little creepy
His face changed from proud to confusion.
"You spy in people's minds all the time, your a bit of a perv."
"That was not the reaction I was expecting."
"Well as you've figured out, I'm an unexpected person, Charles Xavier."

"Your sick of hiding." Charles blurted out.
"Well that was out of the blue." You laughed.
"I'm looking for people to fight for a cause, to fight, very well like your ancestors did. To stop a war between mutants and humans.
"Excuse me?" You said shocked
Charles had stood up and was now in front of you.
"Wouldn't that be good for us, we would finally be free to be who we are." You protested but Charles took your hand.
"Let me show you." Charles practically whispered by your cheek.
He trailed his finger up from your shoulder to your neck and held your chip up.
You said no words of protest before he set his beautifully modelled lips on yours, moving with the same heat of the fire beside you.
You slowly pulled apart and he smirked.
"You just wanted to kiss me didn't you?"
"Maybe."
"I think you've had too much to drink, I must go to bed." You patted his hand and left quickly up the stairs.
"Oh, I forgot.. don't go outside. It's dangerous.. the spirits that held up these walls are mischievous."
"I'm sure." He rolled his eyes
"I'm not joking Charles. Be careful and don't go outside!" You yelled leaving Charles alone by the fire.
"Dammit." Charles cursed under his breath.
He dismissed your advice and opened the front door.

"Okay this might hurt-"
"-A lot! Ouch!" Charles exclaimed moving away from you.
"The cuts deep."
"I didn't know that until now." Charles said sarcastically.
"Stop being a smart arse, if you didn't go outside like I told you not to, you wouldn't be in this situation." You said throwing the cloth in the bowl.
"Is that a touch of concern?"
"Piss off you selfish cock. Why would I care, your one of my tennants and i don't want to be held responsible, I've got bad reputation enough." You said in a fluster.
"Aw, you care."
"I said I don't and a woman always sticks by her word."
"Kiss me."
"W-what!" You stuttered out.
"Kiss me." Charles said with his head in his hands.
"I think this injury to your head is deaper than I thought." You examined his head.
"You wanted to before."
"The hell i didn't!"
"Cmon bonnie las, kiss me and we can make a night of it." Charles said trying to sound Scottish.
"I think you have a mild concussion. Your obviously not thinking clearly."
"Y/n, dear I don't think the words in my head have been ever clearer." He smirked
"I think you need to lie down."
"Lie down with you in my arms,
Join my army against shaw."
He changed his tone suddenly.
"Okay you went from 10 to 0 in 3 seconds."
"Ah, so I was getting there." He chuckled making you smile.
"Shut up."
"Only if you kiss me again."
"Fine you stubborn bastard." You leant down and he latched onto you, deepening the kiss. As much as you enjoyed it you needed air but, as soon as you went to pull away he managed to roll you onto the floor beside the fire.
"Charles!"
"Help me in the war against humanity and mutants."
"On one condition..." you pulled Charles back down onto the flour with a kiss.
