⌠CRIMINAL CLUB⌡

THE HORIZON WAS eminently alight and tranquil, foreign language explicitly penetrated Evangeline's ears. All citizens did their activities as usual without even realizing that another adversity was currently smiting the Earth's Mightiest Heroes, clearly incurring an uninvited brotherly war in the end. A huge abandoned warehouse stood tall before her eyes as she got out of the car. Jillian did avouch herself that this was the right thing to do, but she couldn't control her own feelings. Since earlier, a vortex of unsavory feelings pounded her periodically, causing herself absurdly hesitant to do what she was going to do. Evangeline stiffly glued her feet on the pavement and eyed the scenery in front of her, knowing once she got inside the building there was no turning back.
It's too late to back out now.
Evangeline craned her neck up to see a helicopter hovering over the sky, fomenting a major question mark for the common people. The news must have taken over all TV stations, publicizing that two Avengers and one top-class criminal fled away which she believed anyone who sided with them would also be a wanted man. The wind wagged a few strands of her hair as she inhaled a lumbering breath, strengthening the leather jacket that embraced her petite figure. Throwing her head side to side, Evangeline finally made her way into the warehouse.
A few clefts on the wall allowed a slight luster of the sol to enter the building, illuminating her route toward them. Evangeline could vaguely hear their calm voices that made her conclude that Bucky had gained control of his own mind again. The quiet and dark passageway ultimately pointed the end of the road as three sturdy men had their backs glaring at her.
"You can't keep yourself out of trouble, don't you Steve?" Evangeline's soft yet firm voice blared out of the deserted area, startling the three men slightly.
A grin reached Steve's lips at the sight of her and immediately jogged toward the brunette girl, pulling her into a quick hug. "Troubles always find its way to me."
"Aren't you bored?" Evangeline teased as they pulled away, moving aside to greet her other friend. "Hey, Sam."
"Honestly, seeing you here makes me much more relaxed," Sam gave her a cheeky grin, causing the girl to chuckle in response.
Evangeline shrugged, crossing her arms over the chest. "It was Captain's order, I couldn't deny."
"You know, I wouldn't call unless it's emergency."
Evangeline shook her head, letting out a tiny laugh. "Well, you should tell that to my school, so they know the reason why I always skip classes."
