- Alex -

I feel the cold surrounding me, seeping into my every crevice and pore. It takes me a few minutes to realise I'm completely naked, that explains why I'm so cold. The cold hard concrete underneath me is rough and I feel it jabbing into my skin but I don't move. I feel like I've lost all control of my movements and as I will myself to get up, to open my eyes my body ignores me and leaves me helpless on the ground.

In my head I'm screaming, help me please, I don't know where I am, how I got here or if I'm even alive. My body is in a state of what feels like shock while I'm am alive inside.

As I begin to give up I feel myself slipping into oblivion, darkness is upon me.

A hand clasps onto my shoulder and finally, I can open my eyes. I look up to see who has grasped onto me and above me is the only person I want to see.

Sam is looking down at me with his beautiful green eyes, a small strand of hair has fallen onto his face and I watch him push it out of the way. Frown lines are etched deep into his forehead as he worries about me.

"Alex?" he asks me quietly as he crouches down next to me, I don't respond. He begins to get up and I think he's going to leave me here but I watch as he reaches behind his neck to take his shirt off. I look down at his sculpted muscles and I smile in response. He notices my smile and the smirk I get in return is cocky and arrogant, I don't expect anything less of him though.

He crouches down next me again and begins to put the shirt over my head so I am covered. The whole time he makes an effort not to bask in the nakedness of my body and I love that he respects me in that way.

He puts his hands underneath me and lifts me up into his arms, "Alex, are you okay?" he asks me.

I still have a feeling of being unable to speak so I nod instead. I begin to think about what happened. I don't remember where I've been or what happened, the last thing I remember was looking at Sam in his room and then nothing. Its like I've had a massive mind blank but how did I end up here in the backyard on the ground.

Sam begins to turn around and talk to someone behind him, "Damien, I found her," he shouts out. I hear footsteps approaching us then I see Damien's face pop into view. He looks just as concerned as Sam was.

"Is she ok, Alpha?" he asks Sam looking from me to him.

Sam looks down at me again, "she doesn't seem hurt, I'll take her inside though. Thank you for helping me, can you let Ash know that we found her."

"Of course Alpha," Damien says before stepping aside out of my sight, I hear a door open and close and assume he has gone inside.

Sam begins to walk and the rocking of him moving slowly puts me to sleep and once again the world turns to dark.

The light shines through the window and I can feel it on my face. I open my eyes to a flash of light and quickly turn over so I am facing the other way. I expect to see Sam lying on the opposite side of the bed but he is nowhere to be seen. The sheets and duvet are ruffled as if someone has slept there but there is no one in sight.

I sit up on the bed and look around the room, I appear to be in Sam's room. Suddenly the wooden door opens and in comes the man I was looking for holding a tray of food and coffee.

"Hey baby," he says, smiling when he sees I'm awake, "how are you feeling?"

"I feel fine," I say croakily with my morning voice, "what time is it?"

"It's 11 o'clock," he replies moving across the room to the bed, making sure to shut the door behind him. He sits down on the bed beside me and places the tray of food on the bed. On the tray is an array of breakfast foods. There is a stack of pancakes with maple syrup dried on them, a bowl of fruit, a bowl of yogurt as well as two mugs of hot, steaming coffee. The aroma of the coffee is floating around the room, infiltrating my senses.
