I wake from my slumber to see the trees rushing past me out the window. The radio is silent and the only sound I can hear is Sams quiet breathing in the seat beside me. My face is pressed up against the window and a coat is draped over my shoulders as I sleep. I peel my face away from the window and look over to Sam in the seat next to me, he sees that I am awake and gives me a smile before looking back to the road.

I look around the small car, the chair covers are old and worn out and the outside could look better but Sam explained to me that most of the time they run in their wolf form rather than drive so he has no need for a good car.

I glance back outside to see only trees surrounding us, "Where are we?" I ask Sam my throat raspy from sleeping.

He doesn't waver his gaze from the road, "We still have about two hours left," he replies, "You should go back to sleep."

I nod in response leaning back on the window before feeling my eyes droop and my mind drifts off into a peaceful nap.

Someone is shaking my shoulder, I jolt awake in shock grabbing the hand and quickly taking it from me. My eyes flit around in a panic looking at who was touching me and when I see Sams face the panic is instantly erased.

"Holy crap, you scared me," I breathe out letting go of his hand and rubbing my eyes.

He sits back in his seat and I look over to him. The tiredness is clear on his face by the deep-set bags that are situated under his eyes and his hair is messier than usual clearly having been ruffled one too many times by him during the car ride.

The car ride was seven hours and I told him that we could leave the next day but Sam insisted on getting to the bottom of this today. No wonder he was tired.

"Sorry," he states letting out a yawn, "we are here."

I look out the window to see a motel in front of our car. The sign stating that it is the best motel on the east coast, however, the run-down appearance begs to differ. I begin to get out of the car as does Sam and he grabs out luggage off the back seat before making his way across to the reception, me close behind him.

After we sort out our room with the old lady at the front desk we make our way up to our room. The room is simple with a double bed in the middle as well as a small desk and chair and a door leading off to an adjacent bathroom.

Sam quickly jumps onto the bed falling asleep quickly because of how tired he is so I quickly get ready for bed and get in beside him feeling his arms wrap around me from behind while we both fall into a deep sleep.

I awaken to the light seeping through the curtain onto my face, I look over at the small clock on the nightstand and see that it's nine o clock. The bed next to me is empty and that's when I hear the shower turning off. I get up quickly getting changed for the day ahead.

"Hey baby," I hear behind me and turn around to see Sam, hair dripping, smiling at me.

I smile, "Good morning, did you sleep well?" I ask him before turning back to the brochure I was reading titled 'Visitors guide to the east coast'. His strong arms wrap around my middle from behind and the butterflies ignite in my stomach, his lips connect with my neck as he leaves small pecks.

I turn around in his arms to face him, "What are you doing?" I question him cheekily smiling up at him.

He smirks down at me, "Oh I'm not sure," he leans down and connects his lips with mine, this kiss is soft and not at all rushed or desperate. He pulls away slightly still remaining close to my face.
