I sit on the deck, my feet dangling below me. The sunset colors the water and the sky. Taking a deep breath, I think about him.
Him.
I was there on a mission, not to fall for this boy. I can't help but keep thinking about his hurt face when I told him I'll never see him again. That I'm just another cold hearted witch. That he was just another stupid test subject for my ignorant kind.
My kind.
I bow my head and feel the hot tears streaming down my face. My kind. The cruel, heartless people who were fascinated by magic that they only wanted it for themselves. They wanted me, the youngest in their group to go scout the human life. I've never been treated kindly, but Namjoon did exactly that. He made me feel something I never felt before- Love. I didn't want to go back. I wanted to stay. But they need me here, in their dark world. But it feels right. To have him next to me. To confess our love to each other. To be loved.
"Jagi? What are you doing here? It's cold. Let's go inside." I hear his familiar voice behind me, like a soft whisper.
I turn around and see him standing there. I rub my eyes, but he's still there, his arms open wide. Sobbing, I run into his arms just like a fool. I should've been stronger. I should've pushed him away. But me, being a weak-hearted fool, just ran into his arms.
"I'm sorry." He has tear stains on his face, and something sharp is stabbed into me. I slowly drift into a deep sleep.

"Jimin-ah, can you tell me when she wakes up?" Wait, is that Suga?
"But hyung, w-what If she doesn't wake up? The forum's fit for a grown witch, not a young one like her!" Jimin's voice is shaky. I prop myself up on the bed with my elbow.
"Yoongi oppa? Jimin oppa?" I stare at them and say weakly.
"(y/n)!" They both exclaim. "Are you okay?"
I nod and slide off the bed with their help. "Where am I?"
"Namjoonie brought you here. For your safety, we, um, drugged you, so you wouldn't know the location of our lab if you tend to get captured or something." Suga scrolls away on his tablet.
I lean on the wall for support. My body's not fully awake, so my legs are still weak.
"Hyung! Hyung! Hyung!"
"What?"
"Hyung~!" Jimin points at the door.
"Oppa," I whisper hoarsely. "I shall demand silence."
Their lips are zipped with a flick of my hand. I gather my thoughts up and stand up. Then, I undo the spell. They stare at me, and Suga clicks his tongue.
"That's no way to treat us, (y/n)." He fixes his glasses and taps something on his tablet. Then, the glass doors open to reveal Kim Namjoon.
I look closer at him. He has dried blood on his lower lip, and he's limping slightly on his right leg. Those witches wouldn't have let me go without a fight. My legs suddenly give out, and I fall to the floor, but Namjoon catches me.
"Ugh," I groan and stand up straight. "Alright, why am I here? And how did you find me?"
"You're here because we want to protect you. And you took your phone with you, you dummy." Suga waves my phone in the air. "So we got Namjoon to hack into it and get your GPS info."
I nod my head slowly. "Protect me from what?"
"The war. That we're gonna declare." Namjoon holds me tight in his arms.
"What?" My eyes are open wide. "War?"
"War." He nods. "I'm sorry, but this just isn't working. Either the witches share their magic, or they go."
I bury my face in his chest, sobbing. This isn't happening, I tell myself. It's all just a bad dream. But I knew this will happen. Humans will get impatient, and a war would break out. Not this soon, though.
"Oppa, isn't there another way?" I beg. I never liked those people, but I'm too selfless.
He shakes his head sadly. "It's either this, or we all die."
He gently runs a hand through my hair and whispers soothing things to me.
