"I love you, Tae." She whispers softly into his ear, leaning her head on his shoulder.
"I love you too, (y/n)." He smiles and puts his arm around her. They stare fondly at each other for a minute before turning their attention back to the movie. It's a Saturday, and they decided to do a movie marathon. Taehyung always gets butterflies when she says that. It doesn't makes sense- they've been together for about four years now.
She still blushes when he says that. Just like the first time he told her. (Y/n) and Taehyung- they're alike yet so different. While Tae likes to socialize and be weird, (y/n) prefers to stay near people she knows and has a calm aura. They both share the same passion for music, though. And that's what brought them to each other.
(Y/n) shuffles around and stands up. Tae abruptly reacts to that, knocking the lamp down in the progress.
"Oops." He grabs the lamp and stands it back up.
"I'm gonna go for a walk, oppa. I'll be right back." She grins and opens the door. "Please take care of Snowbell. You know him right?"
How can he forget Snowbell? He's the one that threatened to kill him with his sharp claws the last time Tae came over. He nods slowly, and (y/n) waves and steps out the door.
"Oh wait!" She runs back in and gives him a quick peck on the lips. "Have fun! I'll be back with midnight snacks!"
Tae has a dazed look on his face, and he seems as if he's in a dream. She is able to cheer him up with just a kiss, and she can make him laugh by just looking at him. Snowbell strides closer to Tae and lets out a low meow, warning him about his presence.
"Welp, Snowbell, I guess it's me and you." He says, a hint of cheeriness still in his voice.
Snowbell lets out a hiss and gets into a fit, scratching Tae everywhere.
"Ahh! You fucking bitch! Get the hell off of me!"
While Tae and Snowbell are fighting, (y/n) is running to the nearest store, figuring out what Tae would like. She decides to call him.
"Hey, oppa, what do want?"
"Japchae!"
"Again? Ugh, fine. I'll be right there."
"Jagi, wait!" She misses that part since she already shoved her phone into her pocket.
As she enters an alley, she is greeted by an unexpected crowd.
"What are you doing out here this late?" A guy she's never seen before asks, but (y/n) can tell that he's a college student near here, maybe a year ahead of her. He gets closer to her, his friends doing the same. "The world's a dangerous place, little girl."
"I'm not a little girl, and I'd like to get through, please." (Y/n) replies, trying to be as polite as possible. "Excuse me, sir."
He snorts and bends down so that they're eye-level. "Well, young lady, why don't you play with us?"
She gulps and shakes her head, not showing signs of nervousness. "No, I'll pass."
"Aww, come on." His hands attach themselves on her waist and starts slowly roaming her body. She attempts to push away, but his friends keep her in place.
"Please, let me go!" She whimpers as his hands move up and down her thigh. "I'm going to call the police!"
He gasps mockingly, putting a hand over his chest. "You wouldn't dare, princess. You want to go home tonight, right?"
"I have a boyfriend." She uses all her force to push him away. He grabs her shirt and pulls her close.
"Now, you're gonna obey everything we tell you. You do want to back to your boyfriend, right?" He pushes her against the wall and gently presses her body with his.
"Jagi? Hello? What's going on? Who's that? Where are you?" Tae yells into his phone, desperate for an answer. "(Y/n)!"
She is frozen, unable to move as he roughly kisses her neck. This isn't like the gentle, teasing kisses Tae gives her. And she's not used to it.
"That's it! I'm going! Snowbell, stay!" Tae runs out the house. He sprints around the neighborhood, looking frantically for (y/n).
He finds her, finally, among people he'd seen roaming around hungrily for girls.
"(Y/n)!" He calls out, and when she turns to him, he sees tear stains on her eyes.
"O-oppa!" Her voice sounds shaky and weak as she cries. "H-help!"
One of the boys reach out and strike her on the face. "Quiet, you bitch!"
That's it. He broke the straw. Tae charges at the crowd, knocking them out one by one. They fight back, and he gets a busted lip, but he keeps fighting. They hurt (y/n). They deserve to die.
"Oppa!" (Y/n)'s voice snaps him out of his anger. He whips around to see her on the ground, clutching her ankle.
"Are you okay?" He rushes to her side and examines her ankle.
"I think I sprained it." She winces and wraps her arms around his neck. "Carry meh~!"
He chuckles and lets her get on his back. Then, he shoots death glares at the boys.
"You touch her again, you die. Got it?"
They nod, clearly terrified of the way he acted.
"Now scram!"
They run away into the darkness.
"Oppa, are you okay? How'd you know?" She asks, resting her head on his shoulder.
"You didn't hang up, you idiot. And yeah, I'm fine. It's just a busted lip. I should live." He jokes.
"And where did that come from? All the punching and stuff. I always thought of you as a cinnamon roll, but I guess I was wrong."
"I'd never show that side to you because you're too good. They deserved it. But you, you got the best of me. Remember that, okay?"
She nods and drifts off into a comforting sleep. Noticing, V slows his pace down and looks at her fondly. He smiles as she snuggles closer to him and mumbles the words 'I love you.' And he knew that she knew that she indeed had the best of him.
