Sunlight streams in between the curtains, kissing me a gentle good morning. I open my eyes slowly, turning around in bed to face my wonderful husband. He is still asleep, his black curls falling over his closed eyes. His breathing is steady, and I feel like if I cuddle close enough to him, I could feel his heartbeat. I sigh at how handsome he looks during his slumber and snuggle closer to him.
As soon as I move, his eyes flutter open, and he gives me a big smile. "Good morning, my love." He hums and sits up on the bed, stretching his arms. We usually started our mornings like this; with only our underwear to cover our sacred parts, we would bathe in the sunlight on our bed for a few minutes, simply admiring each other.
"TaeTae, did you sleep well?" I ask, calling him by an old nickname that originated from our high school years. He nods and runs a hand through his messy black hair, looking at me with adoring eyes. I continue on, "I had a scary dream... that you died and I was chasing around your spirit."
His brown eyes soften, and he puts his hand on top of mine. "Oh, baby, don't dream about things like that. Only dream about happy things." He flashes a cute smile before glancing at the clock hanging on our bedroom wall. "Why don't we grab breakfast from Jin's restaurant?" Taehyung knew that I love Jin's cooking; I could tell that he was trying to cheer me up.
I smile and slide out of bed. "Last person to get ready has to make lunch today!" I laugh as I rush to get ready, noticing Taehyung also hurrying. He was a competitive person, and little competitions like this were common between us.
"I win," Taehyung grins triumphantly as he holds up the car keys, and I look at him with shocked eyes.
"But weren't you just getting dressed..." I pout as I pull my shirt on to complete the look before skipping over to my husband, who welcomed me into his arms. Perhaps it was the weather, but the embrace felt colder than usual. Taehyung simply smiles and walks out, singing a cheerful tune with his alluring voice. I toddle alongside my husband, hopping in the car with him. For some reason, Taehyung didn't like to drive, so I usually was the one behind the wheel, and today was no different.
"Y/N, you look beautiful today," The sudden compliment catches me by surprise, but I laugh and peck his cheek. A smile creeps on his face when I show him an act of affection, and he puts his seatbelt on before reminding me about it as well. "I'm sure Jin will be thrilled to see you today."
"Yeah... we haven't been there in a while." I think to myself as I pull out of the driveway and on to the road. Taehyung tunes the radio to my favorite station as we sing along to the songs, joyfully making our way to grab breakfast.

"Jin! We're here!" I open the door, holding it so that Taehyung can come in as well. "We'll get our usual."
Jin looks at me and then to my side before smiling and nodding. "Strawberry waffles with extra cream and a cup of milk, right?"
I tilt my head and skip up to the counter. "Jin~ you're so funny~ you forgot Taehyung's order! Black coffee and chocolate croissants with a small cup of blueberries on the side!" I chuckle. The boys would occasionally mess around like this, and at this point, I was used to it. Taehyung silently wraps an arm around my shoulder and looks directly at Jin, a soft smile on his face. Sensing a tense atmosphere between the two, I make a mental note to ask Taehyung about it after we get our food.
"So... how are you feeling today, Y/N?" Jin asks, working on the batter for my waffles. "I haven't seen you around for a while, I was starting to get worried about you."
"I'm doing just great! You don't have to worry about me, I have TaeTae to make sure I'm doing alright." I link arms with the love of my life, pulling his body closer to my side. He chuckles and returns my loving gaze. Jin purses his lips but doesn't say anything; he simply continues to get our order ready in complete silence.
