I hopped off the car, the scent of fresh flowers and grass overwhelming my senses. I took a quick whiff and turned around, my eyes landing on my grandmother, bent over with age but still as gorgeous as ever. I ran over and gave her a big hug and a kiss on the cheek.

"Grandma! How have you been?" I asked, intertwining our fingers together.

"I've been good my dear. The farm's the same as always."

I glanced around; everything was the same, and it merely seemed like a repeat of all the previous summers.

"I made you some lemonade. Why don't you take that with you on your walk to the lake?"

Ah, yes. My daily walk to the lake a few minutes away from the farmhouse. I dipped my head as a polite thank you and went inside the house only to step out a couple seconds later with a clear cup in my hand. Humming, I trotted along the path I've always taken ever since I was five years old.

I first stumbled across the lake when I was a little toddler. It was like a hidden paradise; there was sunlight gently seeping through the canopy of trees, birds singing on the branches, and a welcoming feeling of peace. Ever since that day, I walked for ten minutes or so to come to my favorite hangout place in the whole entire world whenever I came to visit Grandmother's farm.

Taking a sip of the freshly made lemonade, I looked up at the white clouds swirling around, as if they were dancing with the wind. I loved being alone as I made my way through the forest. It was different from the busy city life and the constant texts from friends asking if I wanted to hang out every weekend. I let out a small sigh and continued to walk.

When I reached the lake, I noticed that something was different. I wasn't alone here. There was a shirt hanging lazily on a tree branch and a pair of shoes thrown on the ground. In the middle of the pool there was a guy swimming around majestically.

I never knew there was a kid around my age here, I thought to myself as I continued to walk closer to the lake. Taking a deep breath, I yelled out, "Hey!"

The boy glanced up, startled. I waved at him, and he gave me a big smile. "Hiya!" He hollered back, swimming to shore.

Once he pulled himself out of the lake, I decided to introduce myself. "Hi there. I'm Y/N. What's your name?"

"I'm Taehyung. I don't think I've seen you around before. Did you recently move here?" The boy answered, shaking the water off of him like a dog.

I chuckled, "Not really. I come here to visit my grandma every summer."

"Oh I see! You must be Mrs. Kang's granddaughter!" Taehyung gave me yet another boxy smile and slipped his shirt back on. "I love her lemonades!"

I nodded slowly and took another sip, only to find that my cup was almost empty. "Do you come here often?"

He shook his head, "No, I discovered this place last week. I was planning on bringing my friends here tomorrow. And with that being said, would you like to hang out with us tomorrow?"

My heart fluttered. Not because a handsome boy just asked me to hang out with him, but because this was the first person I ever talked to here other than my family members. "Sure, why not." I shrugged, trying to look cool.

"Great! Meet us here at 1 PM then!"

The walk back home was very tiring, mostly because instead of just sitting around and reading my book, I explored the whole village with Taehyung, who kindly pointed out the shortcuts and his favorite hangout spots that I didn't know about. A smile blossomed on my face as I thought of him, and my tired steps turned into skips.
