You stir a bit in the hospital bed. Then, as if awakening from a trance, your eyes flutter open. They face the mass of messy hair resting on the side. Then, they trace down to his hand, which is still firmly holding yours. He has tearstains on his eyes and is shivering, as if having a nightmare.
"Kook-ah~" You croak, your voice still having that raspiness you get when you wake up.
He jerks up and faces you, his eyes wide.
"(Y/n)?" Jungkook scans your face. "Are you really up?"
You nod, too tired to speak. What happened yesterday is a blur. He embraces you in his arms. Surprised by the sudden hug, you stop before wrapping your arms around him.
"You're okay." The tears start flowing once more.
"Of course I'm okay, you idiot." You smirk.
"I'm sorry, (y/n). I'm so sorry." He doesn't let me go.
"For what?"
"I should've protected you better. You should've never got hit with the car." Jungkook finally lets you go and sits back down.
"It's fine, really." You grin and pat the back of his hand. "Thanks for staying with me. You're a good friend."
He smiles sadly. "Yeah..." Jungkook clears his throat. "I'm gonna call Jimin hyung. Be right back."
He steps out of the hospital room for a while, and you regret your choice of words. Maybe I should confess? You think. But what if he doesn't feel the same way?
"Hey," His smooth voice snaps you out of your thoughts. "I need to ask you something."
"What is it?" You look up from where you're sitting.
"If your best friend asked you out, how would you react?"
You think for a second. "Depends on who that is."
He sighs. "Okay, just wondering. They'll be here soon, by the way."
"Jungkook-ah?" You take a deep breath.
"Wae?" He meets your gaze. You hold him there for a while before speaking.
"When I get out of here, w-wanna go for a cup of coffee, maybe?" You whisper.
"(Y/n)?" Too afraid to look at him, you play with the blanket.
"Baby, look at me." He only called you that when you needed some coaxing. His hand lift your face up so you're looking at him dead in the eye. Then, with a grin, he replies. "Of course~~ Anything for my (y/n)!"
You let out a relieved sigh and smile back at him. You hear footsteps outside the door and gently push his hand from your face. "I think they're here."
And there they were. V, Jimin, Jin, RM, Suga, and J-Hope. They seem happy that you woke up and are ready to take you home.
"(Y/n)~~" Jimin playfully shoves Jungkook out of the way and gives you a hug. "You're up~~"
Right out the door, Jin's talking with a doctor. When he comes in, his eyes are sparkling with relief.
"The doctor said that you can leave as soon as your dizziness goes away." Jin pats my head. "I'm just so glad you're okay."
"Yeah, and the sooner you leave, the sooner you can finish your date with Kookie." V makes his meme face as Jungkook gives him a death glare. "So try to heal as quick as possible."
You laugh. It hurt your head, but you didn't care. You loved each and every one of the boys. Especially Jungkook.
