Fallen Angel

I'm in love with a fallen angel, from heaven he fell and broke his wings when he hit the ground.

Wondering this world without a sound.

I found him at his weakest and he put my strengths to the test.

When I met him, I knew he wasn't like the rest.

Our love is banned but when in need he holds my hand.

He takes his punishment and together we stand.

His halo grew dark and fell apart.
Upon my heart, he left his mark.

Cursed and damned because of love unplanned.

Beaten and broken his soul never lost its glow.

An angel in a demon's life I grew to know.

With a heart so big, thrown from heaven because of his sins.

A heavenly spirit his eyes show, caught in the middle and disguised as evil, which isn't so.

How could a place so great, take a beautiful being and a monster they tried to create?

As scary as he's said to be, he brings no harm to me.

Horns sprouted from his hair, ever sense he's unwanted everywhere.

Compared to the meanest of monstrosities, a damaged boy is what I see.

Has been told he has a choice, I knew what it was, I heard it in his voice.

To retreat to hell, to stay would be putting my soul up for sale.

He cared too much I have his heart in my clutch.

Refusing to damn my soul, I knew the path he'd stroll
He stayed a few days, and pondered other ways.

I begged him not to go, that if losing my soul to keep him, then will it so.

He lifted my chin and leaned in.
His kiss sent shivers down my spine, I made a wish that he was mine.

Why was loving him such a crime?

He never hurt anyone and the war he fights shall never be won.
Why should I accept a fate if all I ever loved it would take?

When the night turned to day he vanished and went away.

Ever sense I sit where I found him at first and reminse.

As rain fall from the sky I asked the Savior to make it make sense.

Years come and go but my heart still belonged to the fallen angel so long ago.

On my death bed as I shut my eyes.

Bright light surrounded me, and met me with surprise.

At the gate, I asked for a favor, if he wasn't there then the great welcoming you can savor.

From so high above I began to fall, when I hit the ground I knew I was bound.

Turned away from the heavens I walked through hell.

Calling the fallen angels name, I was met with a demon some would say was tamed.

In hell, we suffered for what we did, but we regretted nothing for our love was no longer forbid.
