She danced with demons in her head

They were the only ones who care that the soul within her was dead.

She was attached to the dangers of life.

Without them she wouldn't have known she was alive.

From all around her, fingers pointed, and things shed never done she got accused.

She fought the world, with her chin held high.

She fought herself barely making it by.

She was pretty, and she was kind.

Her demons were one thing she couldn't leave behind.

They really weren't that bad.

And in times of desperate need they're all she had.

Her peers told her to face her fears,

that she needed to bury them, and the stormy nights would become clear.

But there was something about the way the thunder rolled.

And the wind that blew so bold,

She liked the way their voices and the mess synced.

She was so positive that to lose them,

In boring bliss, she would sink.

No one could comprehend, what she meant,

when she told them with her monsters she'd like her life spent.

But as she grew, more people,

In her posture they saw through.

Some would leave and those that came,

would soon do the same.

Because she loved her inner demons and of that they thought wrong.

But because she had company in her head she grew strong.

She slowly lost her fears,

She no longer feared death or losing what she thought she'd always have.

Some refused to stay unless her demons shed lose.

BUT HER DEMONS WERE THE ONLY THINGS SHE KNEW TO BE THERE TO SEE IT THROUGH.

She no longer sided against them.

Instead she spoke to them about the journeys they had ahead.

She'd hold their hands if they were capable of doing so.

And she'll tell you to this day if you can't accept them,

then she'll hold the door open for you to go.
