If I met the jolly green giant,
I'd ask him for a hand,
To lift me up and show me a view of the land.
I'd probably find him in the forest,
and I'd probably find him at rest.
But if I saw him my back-yard,
I'd invite him in as a special guest.
He probably couldn't fit in my home,
and I'd feel bad to leave him alone,
so, in my yard I keep lawn gnomes.
Every night before I sleep,
from my curtain I take one last peek.
If I met the jolly green giant,
I'd ask him what his favorite color is,
and what exactly he eats.
And if I caught him by surprise and he's with his kids,
I'd take their family portrait and hang it on the fridge.
During the winter months and it gets cold,
I'd leave a blanket on the porch,
with some snacks from the cabinet that I stole.
If I met the jolly green giant, I'd thank him for existing,
and give him a hug, ignoring his resisting.
He's my hero, because he made me believe,
in things that hide under rocks and in trees.
Things that can't be proven, and from the jolly green giant,
my imagination was driven.
