Reckless

Looked death in the face.

Laughed when my soul it didn't take.

More life threatening thrilling choices I'll have to make.

Everyone I meet tells me I'm living life with severe mistakes.

But don't they know I love the danger and the way it makes my bones shake.

When I speed down back roads.

And music blares as smoke flies out my windows.

I'm not asking for it to end.

But careful habbits I shall not hold to...when I feel it's only pretend.

I feel mostly myself,

When so close to being nothing at all.

When my time comes I won't ignore deaths calls.

I'll willingly walk into the unknown.

For its an adventure I've never gone.

If I go out, I'll go out the way I'm most at piece with me.

I'm gonna go out wild and free.

And as much as everyone cares, it's only because they're so blinded with fear, they can't see.

I'm gonna test my strengths until it's all over,

And watch my world grow colder for the fun.

Watch what I become as I begin to let go.

Stupid, they tell me so.

Careless I already know.

My priorities may be upside down.

But maybe your lacking the ability to turn the picture around.

Fearless I may seem.

But courageous, in a way that may be selfish and mean.

I won't let my fears control me.

I won't let life take hold of me.

I stand alone, not because any one that's there is gone.

But because where I stand I cannot take others with me.

When upon the balcony of death I stand bold.

I must not drag others down with me, no hands to hold.
