type- oprhan reader, abusive foster parents. The only thing lingering in my mind was how to get out of all these problems. I was in the bedroom of the terrorizing place I live in.
I was abandoned at an orphanage when I was a baby. I was adopted by a rich couple at the age of 5, I was very happy at first because I thought I had found a family who would love me and take care of me, but it was the total opposite of what I had dreamt of, they never treated me well, they would always beat me up and starve me for days. If they didn't want a child why did they even adopt me. I was not able to run away from my foster home or even go back to the orphanage because the orphanage was closed down when the owner passed away and the orphans were taken to different orphanages around the country. I wanted to tell everyone how my foster parents treated me but I never had to courage to talk to any one about it because who would believe me? They are highly respected people of the city and has almost everything in their control, even if I was to go against them in court or whatever, they'll always win since they have money power.
Now I'm 16, getting beaten up by foster parents has become a part of my life. It don't hurt as much as it did before because I'm used to it now. Mere injury or wounds don't hurt me anymore.
"(y/n) sweetie, please get up, we have visitors. " Mrs Dawn, my foster mother said in her sweet voice. Ugh, that stupid sweet voice. She only talks to me sweetly when there are visitors at home. I nodded as she walked out of my room. I grabbed a dress and a scarf that hid the nasty scars on my body. I dressed up quickly and then walked downstairs.
I saw Mr and Mrs Lee with their son Daehwi who happens to be my best friend. He ran up to me and gave me a tight hug.
"Daehwi, can't breathe" I said, he quickly pulled back and apologized.
"Why don't you kids go outside for a while?" Mr Lee suggested, "We have to talk about some business matters it would be rather boring for the two of you"
"Sounds like a great idea dad, we'll be heading out now" Daehwi grabbed my hand and rushed out.
"(y/n), did they do anything to you again?" Daehwi asked me with concern.
"No, don't worry" I smiled at him. Daehwi is the only one who knows about how my foster parents treat me.
"Are you sure?" he didn't believe me
"C'mon, Dae you know I'll tell you if something is wrong."
"Okay, so what do you want to do today?" he questioned
"Ice-Skating"
"What?!"
"Wait for me, I'll be back" I turn around.
"Where are you going?" He asks grabbing my hand.
"Getting my jacket." I chuckle and take my hand back.
"Why? Are you cold? You can borrow my jacket. I mean if you want." Daehwi stuttered.
I place my hand on his shoulder and smiled, "Daehwi you are going to need that sweatshirt where we are going." I ran back to my house and come back wearing warming clothes.
"We are going ice skating aren't we?"
"Yes Dae we are."
"I thought you were just joking"
