You'd think that after having been dating Woojin for so long and having known Youngmin for almost as long, that there would be no problems. They're best friends, right? They would never get into such a big argument. Well I thought so too until Youngmin one day started acting all weird around me. Recently, it seemed to me as if he was trying to flirt with me! Like he would constantly tell me how cute I was or how hot he thought I looked in an outfit. Call me paranoid but I think I saw him checking me out once. I seriously think that Youngmin is into me and I don't like it. Not one bit. It's so unfair to not only Donghyun, his own boyfriend, but also to his best friend Woojin. Why would Youngmin even look my way if he knows that I'm dating Woojin? It's just so irrational to me but my point was proven one day when I was spending some time with Woojin at their house. Woojin and I were just watching tv while Youngmin was out doing who knows what. Woojin got up to go do something real quick, leaving me alone with Youngmin. I sat on the sofa, just scrolling through my phone when Youngmin came and sat right next to me.
"Hey cutie," he smiled. I returned a shy smile, not wanting to talk with him in fear of something else happening. I just had a bad feeling about all of this.
"You look beautiful," he complimented.
"I'm literally wearing sweatpants," I replied. He shrugged and tucked a strand of hair behind my ear.
"You look amazing, regardless," he winked. Just then Woojin came back in and Youngmin got up, leaving us alone again.
"What was that all about?" Woojin asked with a sudden hint of annoyance in his tone. I knew that he had also noticed Youngmin's sudden moves towards me. I shrugged and although Woojin was still unsure, he dropped the subject.
A few days later my own boyfriend was acting strange. He had become so distracted and I couldn't help but notice how close he had become with Donghyun. Or how close to him he wanted to be. Donghyun would try to ignore the fact that Woojin was acting strange around him but he kept acting the same. Not only was it making him uncomfortable, but it was also making me angry and somewhat jealous because Donghyun was gay. I was never a jealous girlfriend but Woojin was giving me reasons and I wanted so badly to pound his face and knock some sense into him. He was being the same way with Donghyun as Youngmin was being with me. It was just totally weird and I knew Youngmin didn't like it too much so he'd avoid hanging out with us.
One day I finally snapped. Donghyun and I had agreed on arranging a double date since our boyfriends seemed to be confused on who their own girlfriend/boyfriend's were. We didn't do anything fancy, we just ordered some food to my flat and all met up to just kind of hang out. Woojin was being his sweet self with me again and things were going back to normal until I asked him to go get my phone for me. Donghyun was currently in the kitchen popping some more popcorn, leaving Youngmin nd I alone. Just like that, he started to shamelessly flirt with me. I tried to avoid his moves but he was impossible to ignore.
"Youngmin why do you keep trying to flirt with me?" I suddenly asked him.
"I'm not flirting with you," he replied. But I knew he was.
"It kinda seems like you are," I replied.
"Whatever you say, cutie" he winked.
"I... Uh I'll be back," I fake smiled and left to go speak with Donghyun. I had enough of this. This was getting ridiculous. I left to the kitchen and I was devastated at what I saw when I entered the kitchen. There was Woojin with his arm slung around Donghyun's shoulders, he was struggling because Donghyun was much taller than him, and his lips dangerously close to his ear as he tried to shove him away.
"Woojin!" I angrily shouted. He snapped out of it and looked my way. My eyes were filled with tears at the sight. What the hell was going on?!
"Baby!" He startled. "I can explain!"
"(y/n) it's not what it looks like!" Donghyun also shouted with fear in his voice. I believed him. I saw the way he was trying to avoid his touch but it was Woojin!
"How could you?! What the hell is wrong with you?!" I cried. Just then Youngmin came running in.
"(y/n)- woah! What the hell happened?" He asked.
"You frickin' happened!" Woojin shouted angrily.
"Me?! What?! Why?!" Youngmin asked confused.
"Don't act innocent! You think I haven't noticed you shamelessly flirting with my girlfriend?!" Woojin asked.
"Youngmin hyung?!" Donghyun weakly asked. "You like (y/n)?"
"No... No!" Youngmin replied. Then Woojin slowly walked towards me, leaving Youngmin and Donghyun to sort things out. Once he was close enough, he grabbed my hands gently and looked me in the eyes.
"Look, baby, I'm sorry for what you just saw. Trust me, I've never cheated on you nor have I ever thought about it. I love you and only you. I was just trying to get back at Youngmin for flirting with you but... Well I guess that wasn't the right thing to do. I'm so sorry baby girl. You know I'd never do something like this to you."
"Why didn't you say anything?" I asked.
"Why didn't you?" He replied. I looked down in shame. He noticed that I noticed. "I didn't want to cause an argument."
"I didn't either. I guess I figured he would get the point and back off if I started flirting with Donghyun." I nodded understandingly as he wiped my tears away.
"I'm sorry baby," he softy spoke and kissed me gently. I kissed him back them held onto him as tightly as I could.
"I love you Woojin," I said.
"I love you too,"he replied. We broke apart when Youngmin suddenly cleared his throat. He was holding onto Donghyun as he cleaned up his tears.
"Look guys, I honestly don't know what got into me with (y/n). I just... I don't know. I just wanna apologise for disrespecting the three of you. I swear it won't happen again," Youngmin spoke.
"It's okay Youngmin," I smiled.
"It's all good. But if you ever try to do some shit like this again I'll make sure to pound some sense into you," Woojin joked. We all laughed and Woojin and Youngmin hugged out their problem. After that we simply finished our double date and Youngmin left with Donghyun so Woojin and I were alone again. All night long, Woojin made up for the earlier incident and I could not be happier that things got fixed.
