I  feel Matt's hand move on my bare waist and shift in his arms to face him.  Reaching out, I grasp his fingers in mine, and look up at his face.  "Hey there."  I whisper, while staring into his dark hooded eyes.  His eyes scan my face, as if searching for any signs of regret.

"Morning, sweetheart."  He says in his deep just woken up voice.  "You doing okay?"  His other  hand reaches up brushing the stray strands of hair from my face.

I nod and squeezes his hand in mine, "I'm fine Matt.  I promise."  He nods and presses a kiss to my temple before moving back from me and sitting up.  The sheet slides down his chest, ending up resting just above his hips.  I scan my eyes over his body before realizing he's staring at me, I blush and keep the sheet clutched to my chest as I search for a shirt to pull over my head.  Turning as the shirt settles over my body, I look at Matthews face, and the shadow starting on his jawline.  I brush my fingers across, feeling the slight prickle on my fingertips.  "Matt,"  I say drawing his attention back down to my face.  "I'm okay.  I'm happy, actually."  He turns his head in my hand pressing his lips against my fingers.

"I love you Cassie.  So damn much."  I close my eyes relishing in the feeling of his closeness.

"I love you too Matthew."   I whisper and feel a tear glide down my cheek.  Suddenly I feel the warmth of his calloused fingers on my cheek, wiping away the tears.  "I love you, and that terrifies me."  His arms wrap around me pulling me against his warm, bare chest.

"I know darlin'.  I know.  We'll be okay though."  His rich voice fills my ears, "We're together again and that's what matters."  I bury my head in the crook of his neck, and relax in the warmth of his hold.  He slowly pulls back and kisses the top of my head.  "We should get dressed darlin' we've got stuff to do today."  I nod and watch as he pulls on his boxers, and jeans.  He wanders over to the dresser, tossing me a pair of underwear.  I give him a small nod of thanks and wiggle into them, under the sheets.  I look up and see Matt leaning on the wall with an amused smile on his face.  I blush and look away, swinging my feet over the bed I grab a pair of jeans and tug them on over my legs.  "I've got to head to work Cassie, but I'll be back later okay?"

I nod and walk over to him, "Be safe, okay?"  He looks down at me and runs his fingers down my hair, and bends to kiss me.

"I'll do my best.  You be careful when you leave okay?"  He asks as he steps back from me, and tugs his shoes over his feet.

I roll my eyes, but still smile at his concern.  "Matt, I work at a freaking coffee shop."

"I know, but still just be careful."  He kisses me one more time before walking out of the bedroom and to the kitchen to grab a banana.  I follow after him, and lean my hip against the counter, waving at him as he walks out the front door.  I go back in the bedroom, and finish getting dressed before finding my own breakfast.

I stand at the oven watching the pan of chicken on the top sizzling in the olive oil.  I grab a set of tongs and flip each piece, giving the other side a chance to cook.  I glance up when I hear the door open, and smile when Matt walks in.  He drops into a chair at the dining table and pulls off his shoes.  Then standing he walks past me to the sink and scrubs his hands clean of dirt.  Once his hands are clean he disappears into the bedroom, and comes out wearing a pair of pajama pants and no shirt.  "Hey there, beautiful."  He comes up behind me and wraps his arms around my waist for a moment before turning and grabbing two plates from the cupboard.

A few minutes later, sitting at the table across from him, I notice him watching me.  "What?  Do I have something on my face, I thought I got all-"

"No, nothings on your face.  I'm just thinking how lucky I am to have you back again."  I swallow hard and smile at him.

"I'm lucky you didn't give up on me.  Even though I fought you about it."  I bite into the chicken chewing the hot meat, before taking a bite of the warm buttery biscuit on my plate.  "Matt?"

"Hmm."  He responds looking up at me, with a brush of crumbs across his bottom lip.

"Are you happy here?  I mean really, all your friends and family are still in Colorado-"

"Not all of them.  You're here Cas.  So yes I'm happy.  I love you, and don't want to be anywhere else."

There another chapter done.  I was going to post it yesterday but my internet was down almost all day.  (Which by the way makes it really hard to do online school)

I have about four more chapters planned for this and then an epilogue (there may be more than that we'll see)
