Heather's POV

I wasn't sure of much right now but I was sure that Cameron made me happier than I've ever been. I sat by the food tent listening to the radio they had. I was listening for any news about a cure or my parents. Cameron came up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist.

"anything yet?" he asked.

"not yet." I sighed. he kissed my temple lightly but it still managed to send tingles through my body.

"are you gonna move in with them?"

"I've really been thinking about it and I think I am. they seem different now and I'm almost 18 anyway so I'll be on my own soon." I told him.

"well not on your own, you will have nash and me, mostly me though," he chuckled. he kissed my hair and went to play catch with Sky and Anna. he was so cute. Karyn walked by and gave me a nasty look. I just smirked at her but my attention was pulled away when I heard my parents' names on the radio.

"the good doctors are sure they are close to a cure! trials have begun on test subjects to see if the infected can be changed back. In the mean time, they urge you to get the antiserum to keep you from getting infected. Doctor Luna was bitten but she had already taken the antiserum and is 100% ok! we interviewed them briefly on our pass through that area and they said once this is over, they are looking forward to getting to spend time with their daughter. well looks like they have a reason to find a cure as soon as possible! good afternoon folks!"

I smiled when I heard that but also worried about my mom's bite. I know it said she's ok but I'm still going to be worried. Cameron waved to me and I smiled back. he said something to Sky and Anna and they both started running at me. I wasn't sure what to do so I put my hands up for protection. They still tackled me to the ground anyway. I laughed and started tickling them but the roles were soon reversed as Cam came to help them. He kissed me to keep me from laughing too loud.

"I love you" he whispered in my ear. I smiled up at him.

"I love you too"
