Heather's POV

I looked up to see my mother and father standing in the doorway with Gomez. My mother had a sad look on her face.

"What are you doing in here?" she asked.

"I got into a fight," I said.

"Started a fight, not got into one," the other guard scowled. I shot him a dirty look.

"Can we take her with us?" mom asked. Cameron just sat there in silence. Gomez unlocked the door and silenced the guard who was in opposition. I walked out with my head down past Cameron to my mother. She lifted my chin to make me look at her. She smiled softly at me.

"We found a cure... its time to be a family," she smiled. My dad said nothing which I found to be curious. Cameron followed behind us as we went out to the lobby area. Cameras were pointed at us and interviewers were shouting questions at us. Cam went to his family and I stood behind my father, I didn't want to be filmed. He lightly pushed me forward, careful not to touch me too much or push too hard. My mother introduced me and I waved slightly. We still had to stay at the stadium until the city was properly cleansed, which would take probably one to two weeks. I stayed in an area with mom and dad but they were rarely there because they had interviews. Being the Saviors of the free world got you a lot of attention. My father still continued to not speak to me and I have been able to avoid Cameron. I'm not sure if I believed what he and Nash were saying. My mother came back and brought me some food.

"So tell me again why you got into the fight," she said sitting across from me.

"Well I caught Cameron kissing that hoe and he and Nash were trying to tell me it was a set up then she walked by and winked at him and I absolutely had it with her so I beat her ass" I explained. Her lips twitched into a smile.

"That's my girl," she laughed. "So was it really a set up?"

"I'm not sure, I hope so because I really like Cameron, but I'm not sure if I trust him fully," I sighed.

"You'll figure it out, and if he's not the one, you will find someone who sees how truly special you are and will cherish that every day he is with you," she told me. Tears started stinging at my eyes. I launched into her arms and hugged her.

"I've missed you," I whispered.

"I've missed you too,"
