Chapter 39

Heather's POV

It's been three weeks since the cure was discovered and I'm moving my things into my parents' new house today. My room was huge and had a large window I could lay in front of and read or write. The walls were a pale purple with music notes all over them. It was amazing. They also got me my own car, a black bmw. My mom had gone to the lab to pick something up and I was left with my father. I heard my door open and smelt my dads cologne before I turned around.
"Hi," I said. He just shut the door behind him.
"Let's just get this straight, I don't want you here." he said in a low voice. "You're worthless and useless, I have no idea what possessed your mother to want you again. we didn't miss you at all, never even thought of you once you were gone. if I were you I'd just leave,". Before I could say anything he was gone. What the fuck??? tears stung at my eyes and I craved the thing that would make it all okay, but I knew I couldn't do that. I picked up my phone and stared at it for the longest time. Who do I call? cameron? I haven't spoken to him in almost two weeks but he's the only person I want to be around right now. He picked up instantly and I could hear Nash in the background telling him not to screw it up.
"Hey heather what's up," he asked calmly.
"I um.... can you come over?" I asked trying not to cry.
"Yeah is everything okay?" he questioned.
"Not really, can you hurry?" I begged.
"I'm on my way over right now." he said before hanging up. I waited on my bed with my hands folded on my lap. I heard the door open and felt a strong pair of arms around me.
"What happened?" he asked quietly.
"My dad said he doesn't want me here, it was all my mother." I whispered. He kissed my cheek.
"It's his loss," he told me. I just nodded. "I've missed you... and I know you probably don't want to hear it again but it was a set up."
"I.. I believe you," I mumbled. "I've missed you too,". He smiled and held me tighter. I leaned in and kissed him. At least I have one man I can trust.
