I was staring at the ceiling of my room.
Who knew it was possible to lose friends this easily?

I closed my laptop as I finished my exams.

I wish it didn't go this way.
As I thought that, I heard the doorbell ring.
Oh, mom must've forgotten the keys.

I walked down and opened the door with my eyes closed.
"Mom you gotta stop forgetting the keys"

But the voice I heard, wasn't my mother's.

"Well it would be bad if I were your mom"
I looked up. It was Silver.

I almost yelled "oh my god you're back"
But before I could do that, he pulled me into a hug.
"I'm so sorry for running away"

"Silver, I-" I said, but I stopped when I saw a girl behind him.
"Who's she" I almost snarled.

"I'm a bush girl" she said with a straight face. "I helped this redhead here to get some common sense"

"She's Leaf" said Silver. "But Leaf has to go, she has some stuff to do"

She giggled and walked away.

Silver pushed me into the house.
"I feel like I need to explain something to you"

My heart started beating faster as he leaned towards me.

"I... i'm gay" he said. "And I think I like you back"

I couldn't describe the happiness I felt.

He leaned in and quickly kissed me.

I would be lying if I said that I didn't blush.

It took me a few minutes to catch the words I wanted to say as he cuddled me.

"B-but why so sudden?"

"A person I didn't know, Leaf, changed my mind"

"Are you kidding me, I've been chasing you for years and your mind got changed by some bush girl?"

"Yes"

"That's, that's"

"That's what?"

"You dork"

"Look who's talking"

He started kissing me. This time not so innocently.

Soon enough, he was in his white t-shirt, smirking at me with his fringe in his eyes.
"You god damn tease"

///two weeks later

Silver and I went to walk through the park once again. I was holding his hand and he seemed so relaxed for the first time in forever.
The soft spring sun was making his red hair shine so bright, and when I looked at him I could see his eyes sparkle.

I smiled. Silver went back to school and I worked in a store. I eventually want to live with Silver of course, but I don't wanna leave my mom just yet. Nowadays Silver visits me a lot because he likes that there's at least one of us who has a parent. She's almost becoming his mom at this rate. Huh. That'd be weird.

I got jerked out of my thoughts when Silver kissed me. I don't think i'd ever get used to that.

"I haven't even asked you properly" he started.

He held my hands and looked intensely into my eyes
"Gold... Do you wanna be my boyfriend?"

I giggled out of pure happiness.

"Yes"
