  (Ghost)

Okay! I didn't just heard that! I'm hillusinating! She's playing a joke! This can't be happening! Only shock played on my face as she looked at me. When she had figured out my emotions, she turned away and sighed. "I knew it. I knew this would happen!"

By now I had finally managed to put on a smile and tell her lightly, "No. No. This is. This is great!" But a question struck me, I knew she wasn't a cheat at all, but it worried me so much that I felt I had to ask. "Who's the father?"

She glared back at me, and I knew I threw her the worst question. "What? You don't trust me? You think I'm a whore, don't you?" With that, she stood and stormed away. I now went over the question, and I realize now that this, I don't know why it didn't happen, could've gotten her to claw my face off. And I know very well that she has the nails to do so.

I was abut to go after her, when MacTavish stopped me. His face a clear slate, no emotions dared to reach the surface of it. But his eyes spoke only understanding. "Let her cool down GHost. But I recommend you talk to her soon, she'll be on leave for almost a year."

I took a breath and let my hands rest in my palms, I'm going to be a dad? The shock now felt more of a heartacke. What if she didn't forgive me for the stupid thing I asked, and she made sure our kid never knew I was their other parent?

Tavish sat down next to me, "It's alright. Just talk to her in a little bit."

I trusted his word, but right now, I only wanted to be by myself. "Thanks. Can I just be alone for a minute? I need to think."

He nodded and left me sitting at the table. I now only wished I could take back the words I ahd said, so Heatstroke wouldn't want to kill me.

I left Ghost so he could sort things out, but right now I wasn't going to intervein. I knew what Heatstroke wanted to hear, btu it needed to come from Ghost's mouth. Heatstroke had dissipeared into the girls bunk hall. And I expected her to start packing up so she could go home.

I stepped inside and watched her angrily shove a few shirts in her tot bag, swearing under her breath. "Heatstroke, I'm just wondering, where will you be on leave?"

She turned to face me, a few moments filled with herd unamused stare, she sighed, "I have a sister I can stay with in London. I'll be fine."

She was a strong woman, and I trusted her judgement. Calmly, I nodded in understanding. "Don't be completely offended by Ghost. It's just his worry. I know he has no right in questioning your loyalty, but please don't hold this over his head."

SHe grinned a little, amusement showed clearly, "And you thought I hated him? I was offended, but I never hold a grudge."

"Alright," I then turned and left her to pack. With her in London for almost a full eight months, I'd be stuck holding my sanity. And listenign to Ghsot talking like a love struck idiot on the phone.

I was sitting outside the shooting range, when the sound of a helicopter drew my attention to the sky. It was a full eight months since Heatstroke had left. SHe hadn't missed much, it was very slow. And for some reason, Scarab didn't seem to appear as much as I would've like.

Decending down, Nikolai's pavelow would bring back Price and a fraction of the task force he had brought with him. Because the General had insisted I stay, I was stuck with nothing better to do. They were gone for a week out to gather intel on Anatoly, hopping place to place in order to find all they could.

WHen the helicopter landed, I was waiting, but no one left. I only watched as Nikolai staggered out, my blood ran cold when I saw he was torn up and gashed everywhere! He had to lean against the side of the helicopter for support, but he looked up at me and the General, his eyes spoke the story. They were captured!
