Chapter 10

Loki's POV

I paced back and forth in my room waiting for them to return. There were so many things that could go wrong. My head was pounding from all of the thoughts. I was interrupted by a knocking at my door. I opened it up and saw no one. I started to close it when I heard someone clear their throat. I looked down at heather.

"Oh I'm sorry," I laughed.

"I really need to grow" she sighed. "But um yeah I'm back. It went well I guess, I didn't really stick around to find out."

"Well I'm glad you're back safe," I said. We stood there in awkward silence for a moment. "Would you like to come in?"

"Sure," she said smiling slightly. She sat on my bed and looked around.

"Lay back," I instructed her.

"Excuse me?" she asked in shock and confusion which made me chuckle. Hmm Maybe I'll play with her a bit.

"Do I frighten you my dear?" I asked getting closer to her. Her cheeks turned a bright pink.

"Of course not" she replied. I took another step towards her and she slid back. I put one knee on the bed beside her and put my hand at the base of her neck. I could feel her heartbeat quicken immensely. I smirked down at her and lightly pushed her back. As I did I waved my hand and opened a slot in the ceiling revealing the stars. Her jaw dropped.

"That's beautiful." She whispered. "Well I'm gonna need one in my room,"

"You're more than welcome to come and star gaze in here," I said leaning over her.

"You're blocking the view Loki," she laughed.

"I am the view," I said winking. She bit her lip and looked up at me. I was so tempted to kiss her. I leaned down a bit but stopped when I heard a voice.

"She said I'm cute...she said I'm cute.."

"Shut up you idiot!"

Heather started laughing. It sounded like Brianna and Thor were at it again like when we were kids. I joined in her laughing and rested my forehead on hers.

"Things are going to be okay, right?" she asked softly.

"I'll make sure of it," I answered. I rolled off of her and pulled her to my side so we could both watch the stars. We were soon fast asleep.
