Chapter 11

Heather's POV

I woke up and I felt arms wrapped tightly around me. I looked up at Loki who was still fast asleep. I tried to get up without waking him but it failed.

"Good morning," he said while yawning.

"Good morning Loki, shall we get some breakfast?" I asked.

"Yes but we should change first. Wouldn't want to be seen in the same things we were yesterday" he smiled.

"True. See you in the dining hall then," I said as I left the room. I went back to my chambers and got changed into something casual. I went to the dining hall and saw Thor and Brianna already eating. She had a big smile on her face.

"Good morning. Exciting night?" I asked smirking at her.

"Very! she thinks I'm cute" Thor chuckled.

"Oh I heard" I laughed.

"How? we didn't go to your hall. unless of course you were in someone else's room" she said smirking back.

"I was visiting with Loki," I said nonchalantly.

"What were you doing with me?" Loki asked walking in.

"Visiting," I told him.

"Ah yes, visiting." He winked. Brianna whistled at me and smirked. I just laughed at them. Odin came in and we bowed.

"We just received word from Jotunheim that their queen has died in an awful fire." He said.

"Oh that's terrible!" I gasped. Everyone eyed me and laughed.

"As I was saying," Odin continued with a small smile on his face. "Ronan is taking over as king and will honor our treaty that his true love made with me"

"True love?" Thor asked looking at me.

"Laufey wanted me to marry him but I had no interest in him or in love," I growled. Ronan makes me sick.

"Well you are of age now and should consider a suitor." Odin sighed. "But I know you are an independent person and will do what you feel is right when you are ready" he added before I could object. I nodded and went back to my food. Odin left us and we just continued small talk.

"I was thinking that maybe we could go horse back riding today," Loki said to me.

"Sounds great but I have no horse," I sighed.

"Actually, we went and found you the best purebred in all of Asgard. A welcome home gift," Thor smiled.

"Well thank you very much," I said. Loki and I finished our food and set off towards the stables.
