"...and here is the gym." He showed me the doors to the gym as he held his arms wide out.
"Ugh my least favorite class," I mumbled, rolling my eyes.
"Come on it's not that bad." He said heading inside, while I followed.
Grayson introduced me to the gym teachers as I stood there awkwardly while smiling.
"Welcome Tatum, to Long Valley High." Mr. Jackson said. I replied with a thank you and looked around the gym. It was pretty big.
"Yo Dolan!" Someone shouted across the gym area. He started walking up to Grayson as they did their bro hug.
"Hey man, you killed it out there!"
"Nah man, we killed it." The guy corrected Grayson and smirked when he saw me.
"And who is this?" He asked looking me up and down and then looking back to Grayson.
I have to admit he is pretty attractive. His brown hair was in a quiff, he had nice brown eyes, and a nice muscular frame.
"This is Tatum, Tatum this is Tyler. Tyler she's new here so please don't be a jerk." Grayson said as he looked at him sternly.
"Chill man, I'm not doing anything." He raised his hands in surrender. Then he shook my hand and smiled at me. "Nice to meet you Tatum."
"Uh, you too." I said nicely, I'm very awkward at meeting people and I get uncomfortable a lot.
During gym I mostly followed Grayson around like a lost puppy. We didn't really do much since it was the start of the school year. Tomorrow we were going to have to run though, oh boy.
"Tate, want me to take you to your class?" Grayson asked. I nodded since I still have no clue where I'm going even though he just gave me a tour.
I walked into my class once Grayson walked me there and gave him a quick thank you before he left for his class.
I saw Ethan sitting all the way in the back, so I decided to walk over to him since he's the only person I know in this class.
"Hi." I gave him a small smile. The bell then rang and we were the only two in the back.
"So, why are you here alone?" I asked him.
He shrugged.
"It's better to be alone than be surrounded by people who don't like you."
Wow that's the most he has ever talked to me, but what does he mean by that? Did something happen?
"Well class it seems like we have a new student! Tatum would you like to introduce yourself?" My history teacher asked. I hesitantly stood up and looked at everyone staring at me.
"Im Tatum, and I moved here from Michigan." I slowly sat back down, while everyone else was still staring at me. I looked around confused and sort of uncomfortable since I hate attention.
I could hear people whispering.
"What a weirdo."
"Why would she sit next to him, he's creepy."
"Welcome Tatum, and Ethan be glad someone is sitting next to you." Mr. Harrison said turning back to the computer screen.
"What does he mean by that?" I asked Ethan.
He gave a small shrug and did random stuff in his notebook. Honestly I wish he would just talk to me.
Once class was over Ethan hurried up and packed his stuff. He seems to always be in a rush, but why?
"Hey freak!" Some group of guys came up to the desks surrounding Ethan, as one of them knocked his stuff out of his hands.
He bent down to grab them, not looking at anyone.
"Hey, that was rude."
The guy turned to me and kind of got too close.
"And what are you gonna do about it?" He asked as his friends averted their eyes away from Ethan's. I looked past the guy and saw Ethan rushing out, but he ended up dropping something.
I rolled my eyes at the guy and walked around him and his friends to get whatever item Ethan had dropped.
I walked out of class and saw no sign of Ethan. Man he's fast. I sighed and held on to his pencil case, making my way to my next class which was algebra..yay.
