"Dumbass Dolan"

"Good morning Grayson!" I smiled as I closed the door to his truck.

"Good morning T!" He said also smiling. I didn't even look at Ethan since of what happened yesterday. I stared out the window like I usually do, noticing that we were going a different way.

"Gray where are we going?" I asked, moving to sit in the middle a little.

"We're picking up Dani, so Ethan you'll have to sit in the back." He looked over at Ethan and he obnoxiously sighed.

"Always throwing me in the back." He mumbled, getting out and sitting next to me as we pulled up to Dani's house. Gray went on his phone, obviously texting Dani.

"Hey Gray." She said pulling his cheek. He playfully slapped her hand away while she laughed.

"T!" She squealed giving me a hug. Well she tried too since she was in the front and I was in the back.

"Hey E." She smiled, he slightly waved back and looked out the window.

We're not even at school and I already want to go home.

"Tate wanna hangout with Dani and I after school?" Gray asked, once we finally made it to school.

"Yea! Please come it'll be fun!" She smiled.

"Why? So I can be a third wheel?" I asked glaring at Dani. She blushed and nudged my shoulder.

"You can hangout with Ethan, so that way you won't be lonely." She said whispering a little.

I scoffed,"Why would I hangout with Ethan?"

"I don't know, maybe he can keep you some company." She wiggled her eyebrows up and down.

I choked on air. Ok I didn't, but if she said that while I was eating or drinking something, then I probably would've.

"Hangout with Ethan? No thanks." I turned down the offer without even thinking about it.

"Why not? You're the only one that talks to him." She said pouting and holding my arm with both her hands wrapped around it.

"Well some things happened, and I ended up saying that I don't give a shit about him." I replied shrugging.

"What? Why?" She asked confused. I told her exactly the whole story before I had to make my way to class.

"Wow." Was all she said once I finished telling her.

"I mean I feel kind of bad though." I truthfully said.

"You shouldn't be he kind of deserves it, he doesn't need to act like a dick just because people talk to him." She yelled the last part a little loudly so Ethan would hear. He turned around and rolled his eyes at us.

Dani and I looked at each other and giggled a little.

"Yo Tate!" I heard a sort of familiar voice call out as I walked through the gym doors. I turned around seeing that Tyler guy.

"Hey, Tyler." I was surprised that he talked to me. Usually guys don't do this with me.

"You doing anything today after school?" He asked.

"Um." I guess I can just use an excuse of me going to hangout with Dani and Gray.

"I'm actually hanging out with Dani and Gray after school." I said trying to sound apologetically. I don't really want to hangout with him. Yes, he's attractive, but it would be too nerve wracking for me.

"So, they're making you a third wheel?" He asked laughing a little.

"Well actually Ethan is coming too." I responded.

"Dolan? As in Dumbass Dolan?" He asked now laughing in a rude way.

"You don't need to talk about him like that." I said, getting a little mad.

"Like what? As in the truth?"

"You're such a dick! You don't even know him." I said getting angrier.

"I know him enough to say that he's a dumbass, he doesn't even talk, he's a fucking loner all the time, and he's a wimp who can't fight for himself." He stated.

"Don't talk about him like that!" I shoved him a little, he didn't move much since he was much stronger than me.

"Watch it bitch!" He grabbed my wrist, griping it tightly.

"Woah! Tyler chill out!" Grayson shoved Tyler away from me.

"What's going on?" He asked looking between Tyler and I.

"Nothing." Tyler said, giving me one last glance before walking away.

"T, you good?" Gray asked worriedly. My heart was racing and I felt like I couldn't breathe. Grayson noticed and he went to the teacher excusing us from class to take a little walk.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Gray held the door opened for me as we exited the gym doors.

I nodded and took a couple deep breaths before telling him what happened.

"Don't tell Ethan, but Tyler called him a dumbass and that he was a loner, and more mean things, so I stood up for him." I replied biting my lip nervously.

Gray looked at me and smiled. "Thanks T."

"For what?" I asked confused.

"For sticking up for him, clearly not many people do that and I'm glad that you did. I know he's been a dick to you, but you still care."

"I don't even know why. I barely know him."

"I don't know, maybe that's the type of person you are, to see or to make other people happy." He answered.

"Don't get cringey." I laughed. He laughed too and soon the bell rang for next period.
