Christmas Day 🎄🎁

Zoes POV

I opened my eyes to see Alfie lying next to me. I smiled at him. The thought of him waking up beside me gives me a warm feeling up and down my spine.
Alfie opened his eyes and pulled his arm out of the duvet to rub his eyes.
He smiled at me and moves closer to place little kisses on my cheek.
"What time is it little one" His croaky voice tickling me as he speaks into my neck.
I turned over and grabbed my phone, lying back into position.
"9:45am" I say opening all my social medias and typing "Merry Christmas everyone!!".
I lock my phone and put it face down on the duvet. Me and Alfie locked eyes and grinned at each other. "Merry Christmas Alf" I say grabbing his hand.
"Merry Christmas Little one" he replies locking our hands.
He had morning breath, but that didn't bother me one small bit.
Our lips gently locked into position, we were kissing for about a minute until I had to pull away for a breath. He placed one gentle kiss on my jaw line and then I gently slapped his chest.
"ITS CHRISTMAS!!" I yell.
I jump out of bed and grab Alfie's hand to pull him out of bed.
"I'm coming, I'm coming." He jumps.
We both got changed. He sprayed his aftershave and went to do his teeth.
Meanwhile, I done my daily make up routine, followed by doing my teeth and spraying perfume. I then curled my hair.
I was wearing a red jumper with a pair of black leggings.

I ran downstaires to see Alfie had already beaten me to the presents.
I smiled and sat down with him.

I grabbed a golden wrapped present with a red bow tie on it, when I read the tag it said, "To Zoë, Love from Mark x". I opened it. It was a Mark and Zoe karaoke track (hand made) loads of chocolate and new pair of sneakers. Loved it.
I then went into opening my present of Louise, which was a new handbag and a new top with frilly arms.
After a while I got down to Alfie's presents. I unwrapped one which was a Thornton chocolate box saying I love you Zoe. Yesssssss. Another one I opened was a new filming camera with loads of other gear. And finally, a Gucci handbag and an iPhone X!! Omg he must love me millions spending all this! Almost like, £272,640.00!!

I watched as he opened loads of clothes and chocolate and alcohol and finally as he opened my gym gear I bought. Is face lit up with joy.
"Thanks Alf" I say going over for a kiss.
"Thanks Zo" he says kissing me.

We message all of the people who gave us presents and thank them and wish them all a merry Christmas.
Then we sit cuddling watching a Christmas movie.
We had Christmas cookies to sit with as we watched Paddington bear 2.

I heard a ping on my phone.
*PINNNNNNGGG*
I looked up at Alfie.
"Sure little one" he smiled.
I sat up and grabbed my phone, then slid the green phone across to answer it on my new phone.
"Yo Mark!" I say ecstatically.
"Yo Zo!!" He yells.
"Merry Christmas!" He says.
"Merry Christmas mark! Thanks for my present I love them" I say.
"Yeah thanks for mine to. I loved the clothes and the shoes!" He says.
"No problem mark! Now what's up?"
"Oh yeah, do you wanna come mine for Christmas dinner with Alfie?" He asks.
"Have you already put your turkey and stuff in the oven??" I ask.
"No not yet" he replys.
"Come here with me and Alfie?" I ask.
"Yeah okay. See you in an hour"
I put the phone down and cuddle back to Alfie, shoving almost a whole biscuit in my mouth.
I hear Alfie laugh as I gag on the cookie.

About an hour later.

Alfies POV
I had the best present ever for Zoe. I just hope she says what I'm hoping for.
Mark had been here for about 10 minutes now. Zoe was in the kitchen checking on the turkey and the rest of the tea. Meanwhile, I laid the table out with a red table cloth with little stars and Christmas trees on. I then placed the candles, buckets of ice, wine, crackers, plates and cutlery down. I then put down napkins and made sure the dining room was clean.
All done!

I walked down to Zoe in the kitchen.
I wrapped my hands around her waists and kissed her cheek.
"Need any help babe?"
"You can do the veg if you like!" She says.
"Okay" I say. I tickle her sides and she jumped and let's out a loud scream.
"AGHH ALFIE!!!"

I started to prepare the vegetables on the chopping board and then put them in a boiling pan of water.

After about 2 hours we were sat around the table eating our tea. I was sat next to Zoe. Zoe was sat next to me and mark. Mark was sat with Aimee. Aimee was sat Zoe's dad. Zoe's dad was sat with Zoe's mam. Zoe's Mam was sat with my mam and my mam was sat with my dad!
We were all talking and laughing.

"So Mark, How are you an Aimee?" I ask.
"Oh we're brilliant!" Mark exclaims, locking his hand into aimees and smiling at her. She smiles back.
"Yeah, we are. And we have a big announcement" aimee says smiling at Mark and looking around the table.
Almost as if rehearsed, they begin to speak at the same time.
"We're moving into together!" They exclaim.
I look at Zoe and her face goes white for a minute. Then she smiles and lightens up a bit. I tighten my grip of her hand.
"Oh- That is big. That's brilliant. Amazing. Yeah. Congratulations Mark. And to you. To. Aimee..." she stutters faking her joy.
"Congratulations guys" I smile.
They smile.
I raise my glass of wine.
"To Mark and Aimee, Moving into together and hopefully starting a new life together!" I say.
"To mark and Aimee" everyone chorused. Everyone but Zoe.
I grab her hand.
"Wanna help me check on the pudding?" I ask giving Zoe them eyes to say we need to talk.
"Sure. I guess." She gets up.

When we get into the kitchen I stand in front of Zoe and close the door.
"What is wrong with you?" I ask.
"Nothing Alfie why would you think that!" She says.
"Because you went white when mark said the announcement and you didn't do the toast" I say.
"Nothing-"
I cut her off and grab hold of her shoulders.
"-Zoe. Tell me the truth." I say looking her into the eyes.
"I'm scared for Mark. What if the same thing happens again. And with what happened with you and mark I don't want that to happen again. I'm sorry. Ill lighten up. " she says.
"It's okay just be happy for them it could be the start of something new." I say.
She nods and I give her a kiss on the lips.
We grab the puddings and take them through. Zoe, this time, with a cheery face on.
"PUDDINGS!!" She said putting hers on the table. As I put mine on I cleared everyone's plates and let them dig in.

"To Mark and aimee" she says cheerfully.

I will wait until a everyone has left...
