After about a week it was the day of Evelyn's funeral.
It was 3:32am. I sat on on the couch with a blanket, in the dark. I sat up on the couch with my legs bent and my arms hugging them so I was sort of in a ball.
I stared at the wall that was dark ahead of me.
I couldn't sleep, I haven't slept well since Evelyn had left us.
I was beginning to get tired, so I closed my eyes to try and get sleep as I lay down on the couch.
Dream
"EVELYN!!!" I screamed.
"Zoe she's gone" Alfie said holding my hand.
Her head was bleeding, smashed up against the wall.
Evelyn opened her eyes.
"Mummy?"
End of Dream.
"EVELYN!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.
My heart was racing fast, my hands sweating and my body temperature rising. I began to shake, trying to catch my breath.
I run my hands through my hair and breath heavily.
Alfie came running down the stairs.
"Zoe!! What's wrong?" Alfie says running to me.
"E-e" I stuttered as I couldn't get my words out. Alfie sat beside me.
"Why are you down here?" Alfie looks concerned.
"I couldn't sleep" I mumbled.
"Again?" Alfie sighs.
I nod slightly.
"Gorgeous I know your upset but it doesn't matter how much we wish she was here, she's not going to come back" Alfie whispered.
"Yes but what about the time she was meant to be dead and came back to us Alfie when she was born" I ask him hopefully.
He shakes his head as to tell me it won't happen then places a kiss on my head.
"Do you want a drink?" Alfie asks getting up.
I nod.
Within around 3 hours I had a small nap with Alfie on the couch m. I woke back up at 7:12am.
I got up and done my normal everyday make up look, putting on the black tights and black dress. I curl my hair and put on my black fancy headband. Just as I finish I slip on my black heels and take a deep breath.
Come on Zoe. You can do this.
I look at Alfie all ready, we eat our breakfast and feed nala.
At about 12:00pm we set off to go to the funeral.
I was really not looking forward to this. But I need to do what I need to do for my princess.
