~(Y/N)'s POV~
So Sensei Wu told me and Lloyd to mess up the ninjas' stuff. I felt bad about this at first and didn't want to do it. They're all really nice—Jay is really fun to joke around with and Cole is really nice to practice hobbies, like dancing with. But, Lloyd convinced me that it'll be fun. Now we're heading back to the game room to see if Kai's there. And he is.
"Hey, Kai!" Lloyd greets while I wave.
"W-We, uh... We saw Cole beat your high score," I stutter a half lie. It's more like I saw Lloyd beat his high score. I'm not a person who's big on lying unless needed, but I guess this is needed since Sensei wants us to do this. "You should've been there to see it."
"Uh, you must be talking about 'Sitar Legend'. This is 'Fist to Face II'. No one beats me at my game!" Kai says smugly.
"Heh, could be wrong. C'ya!" replied Lloyd.
We both take our leave. Not even five seconds later, we hear Kai yell Cole's name in anger.
"You go on ahead to Cole, I gotta do something real quick," I tell Lloyd and he nods, heading towards him. I quickly go back to the room with an enraged Kai to try and calm him. "I'm sure you'll be able to beat his high score."
Kai looks at me questionably, "But his score is huge! And he did it four times to rub it in my face!"
"I mean, this is your game, right? You are the King of Fist to Face II!" I pound my fist to my chest with a semi-serious smile of encouragement, but then loosen up and look at my fist. I place said fist to my cheek, "King of Fist to Face II! And as the King, you have the power of beating those who try to defy your power."
Kai just snickers and shakes his head before nodding to me, "Thanks, (Y/N). I'll make sure I'll show him." Ah, he's still going to get at Cole? Well, at least he has more confidence.
Speaking of Cole, he's the next person I have to go to and catch up with Lloyd. I quickly walk out and head towards the kitchen to see Lloyd standing outside the door. It seems like Cole is now cooking his dish again, which Lloyd and I decided to spice up a bit. Neither of us knew how to cook, so we just sprinkled in a bit of pizzazz—when I say 'a bit', I mean 'a lot'. Like, an unholy amount that should not be digested because we legitimately did not know what we did to his food.
"Mm-mm, Violet-berry Soup—my culinary achievement," Cole whispers to himself proudly. "If the recipe is not followed exactly—"
He tries it. His reaction is actually pretty funny. I was going to say something but I hold back because I know I'm going to end up laughing a bit, so Lloyd took the lead. "By the way, we saw Jay spice things up. We told him not to, but he said your cooking could use it. Bye, Cole!"
"JAY!!" he shouts after spitting out what could have been his 'culinary achievement'.
I couldn't help but let out a giggle this time. Not just any giggle, but a giggle that sounds evil. I cover my mouth and look at Lloyd, who is also looking at me in surprise before giving out an evil chuckle himself. I sigh, chuckling with him.
"I'm going to stay behind each time we prank the ninjas," I say to Lloyd, making him question me.
"Why?" he seems a little disappointed by this.
"Awe, did you want me to stay with you the entire time?" I slightly tease.
"W-What? N-No!" he tries to deny it. "Ha! O-Of course not! I, uh, j-just wanted to, uh... See their reactions together...?" I just laugh at how he basically admitted it, making him turn away in embarrassment.
