Evie sat alone at the edge of the water overlooking the place she used to call home. She couldn't help but feel nostalgic when she looked across the glittering water. She let out a sigh and closed her eyes allowing her memory to roam with memories.

Evie's concentration was interrupted. She opened her eyes and turned around to face a gorgeous castle. Running towards her was a small boy around the age of four.

"Mommy! Mommy! Mommy!"

Evie let out a small chuckle as she knelt to the ground and opened her arms wide, allowing the little boy to run into them. She picked him and twirled him around, leaving small kisses all over his face as he laughed uncontrollably. When she stopped twirling, the little boy let out a few more giggles.

"How was your day today sweetie?" Evie asked while sitting on the bench in the direction of the castle.

"Mommy, it was great. Daddy took me to the enchanted lake. He let me go swimming, taught me how to catch the enchanted ball, and how to hold a sword."

"Wow, Daddy let you do all that," Evie said with a shocked look on her face.

"Yes he did," said a strong, masculine voice.

Evie looked up to see her husband standing in front of her. She couldn't help but smile as he knelt down and left a short, but passionate kiss on her lips.

"Ben, I thought we agreed to wait and teach him all that stuff until he was older."

"We did, sweetheart. But when I was his age, my father was already teaching me to slay dragons."

Evie rolled her eyes and leaned over to kiss him again. A small 'ew' came from the little boy sitting on her lap.

Evie and Ben both looked at each other and started tickling him. He squirmed around trying to escape their tickling hands. When he broke free and started running around the yard, Ben hooped up and tried to catch him. Evie then sprang to her feet and decided to join them.

After playing outside for what felt like forever for Evie, because she was in heels, all three of them laid on the grass looking at the sun setting over the water.

Evie let out a peaceful sigh and cuddled closer to her son.

"It's getting dark, sweetie. I think it's time you start getting ready for bed."

"But, Mommy do I have to?"

"Yes, Harry, it's time to go to bed."

"Yes, Mommy. But before, I do can I hear a story?"

"I'll tell you what. If you go run inside now and tell Mrs. Pots you are ready for your bath and then bed, I shall meet you inside to read a story. You can pick out any story you want. Just run along now."

Upon hearing that, little Harry's face lit right up. She sprang up and started running towards the house as fast as his little legs could carry him.

Ben and Evie watched as he ran into the castle. They couldn't help but chuckle as he ran away.

Once Harry was gone, Ben pulled Evie close and started leaving small kisses on her neck.

"I thought we agreed on not letting him use a sword until he was older."

"I couldn't help it, Evie. Our boy has talent. He is going to be the most dashing prince and swordsmen in all of Aurodon. Just like his father. Mark my words."

Ben moved up to her lips and left a passionate kiss on them.

"I love you so much, Evie."

"I love you, too"

As he leaned in for another kiss, Evie couldn't help but feel a ping in her heart as she overlooked the place where her true love lived.
