I look up from my phone as we draw into district 5, ah yes, I think, power, this is the reason my phone actually works. My annoyance at this district deepens. Can't they make it work all the time, and perfectly? Obviously not. Oh well I think, this will give them what they deserve!
When I reach the stage I see many serious faces staring at me. I quickly make all of my announcements and play the video, until I am ready to grasp the names of the two tributes out of the glass bowl, I am quite excited to see who will be chosen. I pull out the female tributes name...
"Zoe Hart"
A 18 year old girl who is a medium to tall height and has olive skin walks up to the stage looking rather annoyed. Her long, straight auburn coloured hair is done up in a plait, which brings out her dark brown eyes. I size her up, wondering if she will be any good. Very interesting. I then dig my hand into the males glass bowl and pull out the next name...
"Aiden Kelley"
A small to medium sized, olive skinned 16 year old boy walks up looking doubtful. He has slightly curly orange brown hair tied in a short pony tail and hazel eyes. I don't know, I think, maybe he has some kind of hidden talent? How I am keen to see what the games will bring.
"Please bring your hands together to celebrate the district 5 tributes of the very first hunger games!" I announce.
Hardly anyone claps, pity, I think.
"And now you will next see these two on the chariot parade, so just for now, may the odds be ever in your favour".
