"Don't give me that look" I snarled.
She stared at me with glossy eyes, "what look?, oh you mean this sad, shocked looked" she  glared at me.

My blood shot eyes bored into hers, As much as I was uncaring to everyone else, family came first and I had every intention of making her family. Fuck Redric if it wasn't for him and his fucked up attitude, Karma and I would have mated by now.

Looking at her right now I knew if I wanted things to go my way, me and her had to be on the same page.  For that I needed an olive branch seeing as I had already caused her tears something Redric in all his arseholeness had not done.

"Jonathan come here" I growled.

The boy whimpered then slowly started walking towards me. His fucking turtle pace was getting on my nerves. "I'll rip more than just you hand if you keep using that pace, I don't have all day" I hissed.

I got impatient and decided to meet him halfway still holding the rest of his arm. When I got closer I gripped his shoulder firmly and used my other hand to reattach his torn arm to his shoulder. Gradually his shoulder and arm flesh molded together to completely heal him.
Where once laid torn flesh now looked just as it once did before I ripped his arm off.

"Th....ank you. .." The boy cried happily.

"Get out all of you, now." I growled, "except for you" I pointed my finger towards my mate.

"You can heal?" She asked after the children had left. Still glued to her earlier position.

"Consider that an olive branch, and I can do so much more princess, what exactly do you know about the Apex wolf?" I questioned.

"Aside from he is the greatest wolf ever and just so happens to be alpha of alphas nothing else." She replied. Her eyes no longer wet, in them now lied what looked liked adoration, fascination and curiosity.

"It's time for a little story..maybe if I share some of my secrets you will share yours."

Years ago
Bloodlust pack territory.
One dark starless night a boy was born as the second child of two alpha parents with eyes as scarlet as polished rubies.

The boy barely made himself  visible and when he did he was rarely acknowledged. Being a human born of alpha parents was a lesser disappointment compared to the fact that he could not shift.
Every where he went people scowled or taunted him. It was only family who were never indifferent to him. His older brother taught him how to hunt, attack, defend and track in human form.

Then the rogues came and attacked killing everyone in their path, but still the boy stood unfazed, lost in his own world that was until he heard his brother howl, the kind of howl that signals anguish and pain. That howl snapped something feral in him.

He ran towards the direction his brother's howl had come from, dodging and ducking attacks blindly. The final straw came when he saw his brother's blooded form being dragged away from the pack territory. With each howl his brother made the boy's bones cracked, his nails turned into claws, he dropped onto his knees clutching his lungs in pain then howled, a howl that sounded more like a roar, strong and powerful... powerful enough to compel every wolf in the vicinity to get on their knees.

They watched the boy now lying down in a fetal position in amazement as his flesh turned in coal jet black fur. There was a darkness around him so profound it had the rogues whimpering and when the boy passed out from exhaustion they took that as their opportunity to flee and with them they took the one person he valued more than life itself his brother."
